ISRAEL HOST LGBTQ+ festival

After writing an article on Israel’s Independence Day, and discussing the real state of this nation, I came across the information below.

Israel’s official X account promoted a four-day LGBTQ+ festival set for June 1-4 near the Dead Sea, calling it “the biggest LGBTQ+ festival ever in the Middle East” and saying the area will become “Pride Land.”

According to the description, the event will feature hotels, beach facilities, a central performance arena, nonstop entertainment and family areas with activities for children.

The promotion quickly triggered backlash online, especially from Christians who pointed out that the Dead Sea region has traditionally been associated with Sodom and Gomorrah.

Critics said holding a pride celebration there was not just provocative but a direct mockery of the Father and of the biblical account in Genesis 19.

The event also comes as Israel is trying to revive tourism during an ongoing regional conflict. But much of the reaction focused less on tourism and more on the symbolism of staging a major LGBTQ+ celebration in a place many believers connect with divine judgment over sexual sin.

With 15 hotels booked and nonstop parties planned, organizers call it ‘the biggest undertaking for Israel’s LGBTQ community,’ dwarfing even the famous Tel Aviv parades.

However, for many of the faithful, the location is impossible to ignore. The festival sits on the shores of the Dead Sea, the very region where the Bible records the destruction of Sodom.

As one observer noted, building a city for such a celebration in a place that stands as a historical monument to YAHUAH ’s judgment is an ‘audacious insult to the Creator.

While organizers promote ‘openness and acceptance,’ believers are reminded of the words in Luke 17, where YAHUSHUA warned that the last days would mirror the ‘days of Sodom.’

This event serves as a sobering prompt for the global church to fall to its knees. Is this a call for tourism, or a sign for us to pray even more fervently for a return to Biblical truth?
