The Fifth Biblical Month
From Mountain to Mountain
Shema – Hearing the Voice of YAHUAH Along the Journey
Looking Back… Seeing His Hand Upon the Journey

As I quietly reflected on the journey Abba YAHUAH has taken us on since the beginning of this Biblical year, my heart became overwhelmed with gratitude.
What at first seemed like individual teachings, separate prophetic acts, unexpected trials, and deeply personal testimonies suddenly began to weave together into one magnificent story. Looking back now, I realise that Father was never leading us from one message to the next. He was lovingly leading us on a journey—one step at a time, one season at a time, revealing His heart little by little as we faithfully followed His voice.
Over these past months, many of you have walked this road with me. You have journeyed with me through moments of great joy and moments of deep brokenness. Together we have celebrated the victories, wrestled through difficult lessons, blown the shofar, sought His face, and allowed Him to search our hearts.
You stood with me through the flood that changed my life, through the refining journey of the Seven Nations, through the unexpected discovery of the little Purple Lint in the bush, and through the beautiful revelation that our true inheritance has always been far greater than an earthly destination.
At the time, each of those moments felt complete in itself. I believed Father was simply teaching us the next lesson He wanted us to learn. But now, standing at the beginning of the Fifth Biblical Month, I have come to realise that none of those moments stood alone. Every one of them was another step along a carefully prepared path.
Perhaps that is why the words of Proverbs have been echoing so strongly in my heart:
“Trust in יהוה with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He shall direct your paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5–6

I took this picture earlier today when I went on a hike with my dog and while I’m writing, I remembered this beautiful mountain ridge I saw.. it was a unknown path we took, but how rewarding it was!
How often do we long to understand where Father is leading us before we take the next step? Yet so often He simply asks us to trust Him. We rarely see the whole picture while we are walking. It is only when we pause, turn around, and look back that we begin to recognise His footprints along the path.
As I sat before Him, another thought quietly settled in my heart.
What if this Fifth Biblical Month is not primarily about looking ahead? What if Father is first inviting us to pause on the mountain ridge? Not to remain there, but to stand still for a moment and look back and to remember and to recognize His faithfulness and to see that every mountain, every valley, every flood, every victory, every unexpected turn, and every act of obedience has been part of His loving preparation.
Then, as I continued to pray, something extraordinary began to unfold before me. For the first time, I saw that Abba YAHUAH had not simply been leading us from teaching to teaching…. He had been leading us from mountain to mountain.
Until now, I had never noticed the pattern. Yet as I looked back through Scripture and reflected on my own journey, the mountains began to stand before me like signposts along the ancient path.
Each mountain revealed another part of Father’s heart and each mountain prepared His people for the next…and suddenly, standing here in the Fifth Biblical Month, everything began to make sense. The journey had never been random. The journey had always been His.
From Mountain to Mountain

As I reflected on everything Father has been doing throughout these past months, I suddenly realised that our journey did not begin on a mountain.
It began in the waters.
Just as YAHUAH brought Israel out of Egypt through the waters of the Red Sea before leading them to Mount Sinai, so too He first brought me through the flood before revealing the journey that lay ahead.
At the time, I could not understand why everything familiar had to be stripped away. So much that once felt secure disappeared almost overnight. Yet now, looking back, I can see that Father was doing exactly what He did with Israel. Before He could teach them how to live as His covenant people, He first had to bring them out of Egypt.
Perhaps that is why the words of Isaiah have become so precious to me:
“When you pass through the waters, I am with you; and through the rivers, they do not overflow you…”
— Isaiah 43:2
He never promised that we would never enter deep waters, He promised that He would be with us in them.
Mount Sinai
Only after Israel crossed the Red Sea did Father bring them to Mount Sinai. There He did not first give them a land. He first gave them His voice.
“Now then, if you diligently obey MY VOICE, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples...”
— Exodus 19:5
Long before there was a Promised Land, there was a call to hear and long before there was an inheritance, there was an invitation into covenant. The journey has always begun with one simple word:
Shema
“Hear.”
Not merely hearing with our ears but hearing with hearts that are willing to obey. And as Israel continued their journey, another mountain awaited them.
Mount Hor
The place where one generation ended and another stood ready to move forward.
It was there that Aaron died, reminding us that the old could not continue into what Father had prepared ahead. The wilderness generation had repeatedly hardened their hearts and refused to trust YAHUAH. Although He had faithfully led them, many never entered the inheritance because they would not walk in obedient faith.
As I looked back over my own journey, I realized Father had lovingly been doing the very same work within me. After bringing me through the waters, He began stripping away everything that still belonged to Egypt. Through the refining journey of the Seven Nations, He searched my heart, exposed hidden strongholds, and patiently taught me to trust Him more deeply than ever before.
Only then did He lead me to another mountain.
Mount Moriah
The mountain where Abraham heard, the mountain where Abraham obeyed and where Abraham lifted up his eyes.
There, after his obedience had been tested, YAHUAH revealed His provision.
I could not help but think of the little Purple Lint that Father allowed me to discover in the bush. At first it seemed like such a small and unusual detail, yet it became one of the most profound reminders that His provision is never limited to what our natural eyes can see. Like Abraham, Father was gently teaching me to lift up my eyes beyond the immediate journey and to look toward the eternal inheritance He has prepared for those who love Him.
Then I realized something that left me in awe. Every mountain had been preparing His people for the next.
Sinai taught them to HEAR
Hor taught them to LET GO OF THE OLD.
Moriah taught them to LIFT UP THEIR EYES.
Suddenly, the road behind me no longer looked like a collection of unrelated events. It had become one beautiful journey, lovingly directed by the hand of Abba YAHUAH, who had been leading us from mountain to mountain all along.
The Sword of the Great Physician

As I stood on this mountain ridge, looking back over the path Father had led us on, one question continued to echo in my heart.
Why?
Why the flood?
Why the wilderness?
Why the refining?
Why the continual searching of our hearts?
Why had Father been so persistent in calling us deeper?
The answer began to unfold as I reflected on the journey of Israel.
Again and again, YAHUAH faithfully led His people. Yet an entire generation never entered the inheritance He had prepared for them—not because He was unfaithful, but because they would not fully trust Him or obey His voice.
The writer of Hebrews reminds us of this solemn truth, urging us not to harden our hearts as Israel did in the wilderness. He calls us to enter Father’s rest through faith and obedience, and then immediately points us to the instrument YAHUAH uses to prepare His people:
“For the Word of Aluah is living, and working, and sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting through even to the dividing of being and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
— Hebrews 4:12

Suddenly, everything made sense. The Sword has never merely been a weapon against the enemy. It is first a loving instrument in the hands of the Great Physician, because before Father entrusts His people with greater responsibility, He first prepares their hearts and before He leads us into a deeper inheritance, He lovingly cuts away everything that would keep us from fully walking in it.
The Sword is not raised against the Remnant, it is first applied to the Remnant.
The day before the New Moon of this Fifth Biblical Month, while spending time in prayer, one word suddenly settled deeply within my spirit.
Gangrene
I knew very little about the disease, so I began studying it and what I discovered deeply moved me.
Gangrene develops when living tissue dies. Left untreated, it spreads. If it continues to spread, the damage eventually reaches so deeply that drastic measures become necessary to preserve what remains alive and as I prayed, I sensed Father gently impressing these words upon my heart:
“If I do not remove the gangrene, it will spread. If it is left untreated, I will have to amputate to save the body.”
What a sobering picture. How often we ask Father to bless us, while quietly holding on to attitudes, habits, compromises, pride, unforgiveness, fear, or self-will that slowly rob us of the abundant life He desires for us. Yet because He loves us, He refuses to leave us unchanged.
Like a compassionate Physician, He patiently removes whatever hinders our fellowship with Him. Sometimes His refining work is uncomfortable and sometimes it exposes areas we would rather leave untouched, but every cut of His Sword is motivated by love.
Every act of pruning has restoration as its goal.
YAHUSHUA Himself said:
“Every branch that bears fruit He prunes, so that it bears more fruit.”
— John 15:2
Looking back over these past months, I can now see that Father has not been trying to punish His people, He has been preparing them and He has been removing everything that does not belong in the inheritance toward which He is leading us.
Mountain by mountain…
Step by step…
The Great Physician has been carefully shaping a people who will hear His voice, trust His leading, and walk in wholehearted obedience.
Shema – The Voice That Has Been Calling Us All Along

As I quietly pondered everything Father had shown me, another beautiful truth began to emerge.
From the very beginning, this journey has never been about mountains, neither has it been about floods, wilderness seasons, or even the refining process. It has always been about one thing: Learning to recognize the Voice of our Shepherd.
When YAHUAH brought Israel to Mount Sinai, His first desire was not simply to give them commandments. His desire was relationship. He called them to become a people who would know His voice, trust His heart, and faithfully walk in His ways.
That same invitation still echoes through the pages of Scripture today.
“Hear, O Israel: יהוה our Aluah, יהוה is one! And you shall love יהוה your Aluah with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might.”
— Deuteronomy 6:4–5
The Hebrew word that begins this beautiful declaration is Shema. It means far more than simply hearing words. It carries the beautiful invitation to hear with understanding, to respond with faith, and to obey with a willing heart.
Suddenly, the significance of this Fifth Biblical Month began to shine with new beauty. Perhaps Father is not asking us to search for another new revelation and perhaps He is gently asking us one simple question:
What have you done with everything I have already spoken?
Throughout these past months, He has faithfully proclaimed His heart to us and He has lovingly prepared us through every trial, every refining fire, every unexpected detour, and every act of surrender. Now He is positioning His people for what lies ahead. Not because we have become strong, but because we have learned to depend upon Him.
As these thoughts filled my heart, another unexpected revelation quietly unfolded before me. Only a few weeks ago, Father instructed me to change the slogan of Mattaniah Ministries.
For many years it had been:
REVIVE • REPENT • RESTORE • ROAR
Those words faithfully carried us through a precious season of Father’s work.
Then, without fully understanding why, Father led me to replace them with new words:
PROCLAIMING • PREPARING • POSITIONING
At the time, I simply obeyed. I did not yet see the bigger picture, but now, standing on this mountain ridge and looking back over the journey He has taken us on, I finally understand. Abba YAHUAH was quietly revealing the very road He Himself had been leading us along.
PROCLAIMING
Mount Sinai.
“If you diligently obey My voice…”
(Exodus 19:5)
PREPARING
Mount Hor.
Where Father prepared a new generation by teaching them to leave the old behind.
POSITIONING
Mount Moriah.
Where Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw YAHUAH’s provision, learning to trust the unseen inheritance more than the visible one.
I sat in quiet wonder before Father. Those three words were never merely a ministry slogan. They had become a testimony. Not of what I planned, but of how faithfully YAHUAH has been leading us all along.
Looking back, I realized something that filled my heart with worship. Father never asks us to understand the entire journey before we take the first step. He simply asks us to Shema. To hear. To trust. To obey.
Then, when we pause and look back from the mountain ridge, we discover that every step had already been ordered by His loving hand.
The Mountain Still Before Us

As I continued to reflect on the journey Father has taken us on throughout this Biblical year, I found my thoughts returning once again to the mountains. Looking back, I could now see how each one marked another step along the road He was leading His people.
Mount Sinai reminded me that every journey with YAHUAH begins by hearing His voice. Mount Hor reminded me that we cannot carry the old nature into the promises He has prepared for us and Mount Moriah revealed that His provision is always found in the place of obedience, where we learn to lift up our eyes beyond what we can see with our natural understanding.
As beautiful as each of those mountains is, I suddenly realized that none of them were ever the final destination. They were all preparing Father’s people for something far greater that still lay ahead.
As that thought settled in my heart, another mountain quietly came into view. This time it was not a mountain that belonged to the past, but one that still stands before us. It was Mount Zion.
My heart was immediately drawn to the beautiful words recorded in Hebrews:
“But you have come to Mount Tsiyon and to the city of the living Aluah, the heavenly Yerushalayim…”
— Hebrews 12:22
As I read those words again, I realized that Father has never been leading His people from one mountain to another simply to give them extraordinary experiences. Every mountain has been part of His loving preparation, drawing His people closer to Himself. He has never been preparing us merely to survive the days in which we are living. He has been preparing a people who will know Him, walk with Him and delight in His presence. From the very beginning, His desire has always been to dwell among His people.
That is why the promise spoken through the prophet Amos carries such hope for our generation:
“In that day I shall raise up the booth of David which has fallen down...”
— Amos 9:11
When Ya’aqob later quoted these words in Acts 15, he explained that YAHUAH was gathering a people for His Name. That has caused me to wonder whether Father’s greatest work in this hour is not the rebuilding of earthly structures, but the restoration of His living temple.

Throughout these past months He has been searching hearts, refining lives and calling His people back to wholehearted obedience. Like a Master Builder, He has been preparing living stones that together will become a dwelling place for His presence.
Only now, looking back over the journey, can I begin to see His hand in every season. The flood was never the destination. The wilderness was never the destination. The refining was never the destination.
Even the little Purple Lint in the bush, precious as that moment was, was never the destination. Every step has simply been another expression of Father’s faithfulness, gently leading us closer to the place where He desires His people to be.
As I stood upon that mountain ridge, looking back over everything Father has done since the beginning of this Biblical year, one overwhelming truth filled my heart. He has never once left us to find the way on our own.
Every step has been ordered by His wisdom. Every season has carried His fingerprints. Every mountain has revealed another part of His heart. Even when I could not understand where He was leading, He never stopped leading.
Perhaps that is the greatest lesson I have learned while looking back over this journey. The greatest miracle was never the flood, the Purple Lint, the many confirmations, or even the mountains themselves. The greatest miracle has always been the faithfulness of the One who never stopped walking before us.
The Two-Way Echo of Shema
Our call to Shema (hear and obey) is never a one-way street, it is an invitation into a divine, two-way conversation.
In Psalm 5:1, the psalmist reverses the direction of this word, crying out, “Give ear (Shema) to my words, O YAHUAH, consider my meditation.”
On this strategic alignment—the 5th day of the 5th month, mirroring the truths of Psalm 5— we are reminded that this season carries a dual promise.
As we position our hearts to hear His voice, the Father is simultaneously leaning in to hear ours.
He is actively listening to our spoken words and deeply weighing our silent meditations. We hear Him, and He hears us.
Praise ABBA 👏 🙌
May we never lose sight of that.
May we continue to Shema—to hear His voice with hearts that are willing to obey. May we continue to trust Him when we cannot yet see the next bend in the road, knowing that the Shepherd who has faithfully led us this far will not abandon us now.
May we keep following Him with unwavering faith, wherever the next mountain may lead, until the day we stand together upon Mount Zion, forever in the presence of our beloved King.
All glory, all honour and all praise belong to Abba YAHUAH, whose faithfulness endures from generation to generation. HalleluYAH!
SHEMA beloved,
