Overcoming the Stronghold of Compromise and Mixture

“When יהוה your Aluah brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you: the Hittites and the Girgashites…” (Deuteronomy 7:1)

Theme for Today: Compromise and Mixture

Yesterday we confronted the Hittites, the stronghold of fear. Today we turn our attention to the Girgashites.

The Girgashites represent compromise, mixture, worldliness, and allowing the values of the world to influence our covenant walk with YAHUAH. One of the greatest dangers for a believer is not outright rebellion, but gradual compromise.

The pattern of the Girgashites begins with compromise. Compromise rarely begins with a major decision, it begins with small agreements and small compromises become habits and habits become strongholds and strongholds become captivity.

The Girgashite spirit attempts to convince us that we can walk in covenant with YAHUAH while maintaining agreement with things that He has asked us to leave behind.

Today we invite the Ruach HaQodesh to search our hearts and reveal every area of compromise and mixture.

Take A Look Inside

Prayerfully ask yourself:

Compromise With The World

• Have you adopted worldly thinking that contradicts Scripture? If you did, what is it? Write it down and renounce it.
• Are you allowing culture to influence you more than the Word of YAHUAH?

Double-Mindedness

• Am I fully surrendered to YAHUAH?
• Are there areas where I am trying to serve two masters? If there are, write them down and start dealing with them and talk to YAHUAH about it and ask Him to help you.

Mixture

• Have I allowed worldly habits, attitudes, or influences to remain in my life? Write them down.
• Is there anything I know YAHUAH has been asking me to remove? Be bold and face them.

Lukewarmness

• Have I lost my first love? Reprioritize your schedule and turn back to your Beloved.
• Have I become comfortable instead of pursuing intimacy with YAHUAH?

Trusting The Flesh

• Am I relying on my own strength more than YAHUAH’s leading? Ask for forgiveness.
• Have I become dependent on natural solutions while neglecting prayer and obedience? Return to YAHUAH, He is in control and knows the best solution for every problem you have.

Pause and allow the Ruach HaQodesh to reveal any area that requires repentance… Do not condemn yourself, simply bring everything into His light.

Scriptures To Meditate On Today

Ya’aqob 4:4 (James)

“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Aluah? Whoever therefore intends to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Aluah.”

Declaration: “I renounce friendship with the world and every form of compromise. I belong to Yahuah alone. My heart is not divided, my loyalty is not mixed, and my affection is set upon the Kingdom. I choose covenant faithfulness and wholehearted devotion to my Beloved.”

Romans 12:2

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.“

Declaration: “I will not conform to the patterns of this world. My mind is being renewed by the Word of Aluah, and I discern His perfect will.”

Joshua 24:15

“But if it seems evil in your eyes to serve יהוה, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve… But I and my house, we serve יהוה.”

Declaration: “I choose this day to serve Yahuah with my whole heart. My house belongs to Him, and I will not compromise with the ways of the world.

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot.”

Declaration: “I choose to burn with wholehearted devotion. I reject lukewarmness and pursue intimacy with Yahuah.”

Psalm 86:11

“Teach me Your way, O יהוה; let me walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your Name.”

Declaration: “Father, unite my heart and remove every divided affection and establish me fully in Your truth.”

2 Corinthians 6:17

“Come out from among them and be separate, says יהוה.”

Declaration: “I come out from every form of mixture and compromise. I am set apart unto Yahuah and walk in covenant purity.”

Matthew 6:24

“No one is able to serve two masters...”

Declaration: “I serve one Master alone. My loyalty belongs to Yahuah, and I will not be entangled with competing loyalties.”

Read these Scriptures and declarations aloud and ask YAHUAH to establish His truth within you.

Speak aloud:

Today I renounce every agreement with compromise, mixture, and worldliness.

I reject every influence that seeks to pull me away from covenant relationship with YAHUAH.

I choose holiness over compromise.

I choose obedience over convenience.

I choose truth over deception.

I declare that my heart belongs fully to YAHUAH.

I will not be double-minded.

I will not be lukewarm.

I will not conform to the patterns of this world.

My mind is being renewed by the Word of YAHUAH.

My life is set apart for His purposes.

By the blood of Yahushua HaMashiach, every agreement with compromise is broken.

War Cry

Lift your voice boldly:

NO MORE COMPROMISE!

NO MORE MIXTURE!

MY HEART BELONGS TO YAHUAH!

I CHOOSE HOLINESS!

I CHOOSE OBEDIENCE!

I CHOOSE COVENANT!

THE GIRGASHITE STRONGHOLD IS FALLING!

YAHUAH REIGNS OVER MY LIFE!

Prophetic Action

Walk around your home, property, block, or wherever YAHUAH leads you.

As you walk:

• Ask YAHUAH to reveal areas of compromise.
• Pray over your family and household.
• Declare that your home belongs to YAHUAH.
• Dedicate every room, every relationship, and every area of influence to Him.
• Declare that every mixture must leave.

Allow the Ruach HaQodesh to reveal anything that needs to be removed, corrected, or surrendered.

Blow The Shofar

When you have completed your walk, sound the shofar. As you blow, declare:

I announce the authority of YAHUAH over my life, my household, and my inheritance.

Every Girgashite stronghold of compromise and mixture must leave.

My heart belongs fully to YAHUAH.

My household belongs fully to YAHUAH.

My inheritance belongs fully to YAHUAH.

Let holiness arise and compromise be scattered!

Communion

Take the bread and the cup. As you partake, remember:

• Yahushua has called us into covenant.
• His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
• His sacrifice sets us apart unto YAHUAH.
• Through Him we are made holy and acceptable before the Father.

Give thanks for His mercy and His faithfulness.

Ending with a Prayer

Abba YAHUAH,

Thank You for revealing every area of compromise and mixture within my life. Search me and know me, purify my heart, renew my mind and remove every influence that seeks to draw me away from You.

Teach me to walk in holiness, obedience, and covenant faithfulness and may my life reflect Your character and Your truth. Drive out every Girgashite stronghold little by little as I walk before You and establish me as one who is wholly Yours.

One beautiful connection to the Fourth Biblical Month – The Door (Dalet) is that today everyone is standing before a door of decision. The Girgashites confront us with a choice: mixture or covenant, compromise or consecration. The doorway to inheritance is opened by obedience.
