OMER COUNT DAY 44

Jeremiah 46 | The Shaking of Egypt

As we step into Jeremiah 46, the focus shifts toward Egypt. A nation that throughout Scripture often represents worldly strength, human dependence, and trust in earthly systems instead of trust in Yahuah and this chapter carries a very strong prophetic picture for the hour we are living in.

Many systems that people once depended on are being shaken. Things that appeared powerful, stable, and untouchable are revealing their weakness. Human strength, worldly wisdom, financial systems, political powers, and fleshly security cannot carry people through the days ahead the way many once believed they could.

Father is exposing the instability of everything built outside of Him because the restored remnant is being called into a different kind of trust…not trust in Egypt, but trust in covenant.

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the Name of Yahuah our Aloah”
— Psalms 20:7

Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength.”
— Jeremiah 17:5

This chapter reminds the remnant that Father alone must become our source, our stability, and our confidence in this hour.

The Chapter Unfolded

In Jeremiah 46, Jeremiah prophesies concerning Egypt and its coming downfall before Babylon.

Egypt prepares confidently for battle. There are strength, military power, preparation, and outward appearance of security. Yet despite all of it, defeat still comes. Why? Because no earthly strength can stand when Father has spoken otherwise.

The chapter paints a vivid picture of panic replacing confidence, mighty men stumbling, and fear spreading through what once looked strong but then, toward the end of the chapter, something beautiful appears.

Father turns His attention toward Jacob and tells His people not to fear, because although nations will be judged, He will not utterly destroy His covenant people. Even in correction, His mercy remains toward His remnant.

Diving Deeper Within

Where have I been placing my trust lately?

Am I depending more on visible systems than on Father’s voice and leading?

Have I allowed fear of instability in the world to weaken my peace or confidence in Him and deeper still—if earthly securities begin shaking, is my heart truly anchored in Yahuah?

Because Father is teaching His remnant to live from covenant trust, not worldly dependence.

Abba Yahuah,

Thank You that You remain steady when everything around us feels uncertain.

Forgive me for the times I have placed my confidence in human strength, worldly systems, or visible security more than in You. Teach me to trust You fully and to remain anchored in Your covenant faithfulness.

Strengthen Your remnant in this hour. Remove fear, panic, and instability from our hearts, and establish us deeply in Your truth.

Help us not to look toward Egypt for safety, but toward You alone. You are our provider, our protector, and our peace.

In the Name of Yahushua. HalleluYAH!

Beloved, the shaking happening around you does not mean Father has lost control. In fact, it is often through shaking that He teaches His people where true security is found and while worldly systems may tremble, covenant remains firm.

So keep your eyes on Him and stay grounded in His presence and faithful in the middle of uncertainty because the remnant that trusts fully in Yahuah will remain steady, even in shaking times.

Shalom beloved,
