OMER COUNT DAY 12
🌿 Counting the Omer – Day 12
Jeremiah 14 | When the Heart Turns Back to Him
There is something very tender in Book of Jeremiah chapter 14. It opens with a land in drought—dry, empty, lacking life. But as you sit with it, you begin to realize… this is not just about the land. It is a reflection of the condition of the people’s hearts.
Isn’t that often how it works? When something shifts inwardly, it begins to show outwardly. What was once flowing becomes dry. What once felt alive begins to feel distant, yet in the middle of this dryness, something powerful happens—the people begin to cry out.
Not perfectly and not with everything in place, but there is a turning… a recognition that they need Yahuah again..and this is where the beauty of this chapter lies because even though there are consequences, even though there has been wandering, the heart of Elohim is still revealed, He listens, He sees and He responds to the posture of a heart that turns back.
Day 12 carries this invitation for us, not to pretend that everything is always strong or full, but to be honest before Him. To recognize where things may have become dry, where passion has faded, where closeness has weakened… and to turn back in sincerity because Yahuah is not looking for perfect words—He is looking for a returning heart.
Lean Into This Today
Maybe today is less about doing, and more about coming back, a quiet moment or an honest prayer even maybe a realignment of the heart. “Abba Yahuah, draw me back to You where I have grown distant” and trust that He meets you there.
Beloved, dryness is not the end of your story. It is often the place where the deepest turning begins. Yahuah has not turned away from you, even in moments where things feel distant or quiet. He is near, ready to respond to the smallest movement of your heart toward Him. There is no shame in returning—only grace waiting to receive you.
Let today be simple, real, and honest… because He delights in a heart that comes back to Him.
Shalom beloved,
