A CALL TO HOLINESS

HOW DO I HEAR THE VOICE OF YAHWEH?
Sin separates you from YAHWEH’s presence. Because of sin, you have difficulty hearing and responding positively to the voice of YAHWEH. If you are to come to know YAHWEH’s voice, you must first come to know Him. You cannot develop an intimate relationship with Him with sin in your life. There are some necessary prerequisites if you are to come to know the voice of YAHWEH. A prerequisite is something you must do before you can do something else. It is something required before you can reach a certain goal.

RENEWING OF THE MIND

In the natural world you do not recognize the voice of a stranger. You recognize voices of those you know and with whom you have developed a relationship. The same is true in the spiritual world. If you are to come to know YAHWEH’s voice, you must first come to know YAHWEH and you cannot develop an intimate relationship with Him with sin in your life. (Romans 12:1-2) requires that YOU make the move towards YAHWEH by giving your life to Him. “Therefore, brethren, I call on you through the compassion of Elohim to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to Elohim, which is your reasonable service. And be NOT CONFORMED TO THIS AGE but be transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of Elohim.”

MILK DRINKER OR MEAT EATER?

In the natural world when a baby is born, he must attain a certain level of maturity before he begins to recognize the voice of his parents. The same is true in the spiritual world. When you are first born again you may not be able to recognize the voice of YAHWEH when He speaks to you. When you first receive the Holy Spirit, you may not always understand when the Spirit reveals YAHWEH’s will to you. But the Holy Spirit will continue to reveal YAHWEH’s will and guide you. As you mature spiritually, you will come to recognize this voice within your spirit.

The Bible speaks of this parallel between the natural and spiritual: “For everyone partaking of milk is without experience in the Word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But STRONG MEAT is for those full grown, having exercised the faculties through habit, for discernment of both good and bad.” (Hebrews 5:13-14) The “milk” and “meat” mentioned in these verses refer to the written Word of YAHWEH. When you are first born again you start learning some of the simple truths (milk) of the written Word of YAHWEH. As you mature, you are able to master the deeper truths (meat) of the Word of YAHWEH.

Discernment comes through experience and experience comes through habit. Repetition is the mother of skill, and a true Covenant believer must be reading the Bible daily, talking with YAHWEH without ceasing, fasting often, and meditating on the word of YHWH each day.

Do you make time in your busy daily schedule for Yahweh? Do you get rid of your sins that are standing between you and your Creator Yahweh and is that maybe the reason why you cannot hear His voice? Time is running out fast, we are preparing ourselves for the coming King. With what will He find you busy with, and will you be ready to enter into His Kingdom with Him?
