OMER COUNT DAY 35

Jeremiah 37 | Holding Steady When Hope Seems Near

One of the most difficult things in a season of waiting is when it briefly looks like everything is about to change… and then suddenly, it doesn’t. That moment can test the heart deeply because when pressure lifts for a moment, we naturally think the battle is over.

We expect immediate breakthrough, quick resolution, and visible movement but sometimes Father allows things to pause, not to disappoint us, but to reveal whether our trust is rooted in circumstances or in Him and this is something many are walking through in this hour.

There are moments of hope, signs of movement, glimpses of change… and then delays return, pressure resurfaces, and uncertainty remains. In those moments, discouragement can quietly enter the heart but this chapter reminds us that truth does not change simply because circumstances shift temporarily.

Father’s Word remains steady, even when emotions rise and fall.

The Chapter Unfolded

In Jeremiah 37, Jerusalem is under siege, but then news comes that the Babylonian army has temporarily withdrawn because of Egypt’s approach. For a moment, it appears as though relief has arrived. People begin to hope that the crisis is ending but Jeremiah speaks clearly: the withdrawal is temporary. The army will return, and what Yahuah has spoken will still come to pass.

No one wants to hear it and because Jeremiah continues to stand in truth, he is falsely accused, beaten, and imprisoned, yet even there, he does not change the message. That is what stands out so strongly in this chapter and not just the resistance around him, but the steadiness within him.

Here is a very interesting teaching from Esther Cohen regarding Jeremiah 37:

A Moment to Look Within

How do I respond when things do not unfold as quickly as I hoped?

Is my faith dependent on visible progress… or am I able to remain steady even in uncertainty?

When emotions shift or disappointment comes, do I stay anchored in what Father has spoken and am I willing to remain faithful to truth, even when it becomes uncomfortable?

Abba Yahuah,

Teach me to remain steady in every season.

When disappointment, delay, or uncertainty tries to weaken my faith, help me to stay anchored in Your truth. Strengthen my heart to trust You beyond what I can see.

Give me endurance when the journey feels long, and peace when circumstances feel unstable.

Let me remain faithful, even when the outcome is not yet visible.

In the name of Yahushua, halleluYAH!

Temporary delays do not cancel eternal promises. What Father has spoken over your life is not weakened by waiting, pressure, or uncertainty. He is still faithful, still present, and still working.

So do not lose heart when things seem delayed. Stay steady, anchored and close to Him because even when circumstances shift, His Word remains unshaken.

Shalom beloved,
