OMER COUNT DAY 34
Jeremiah 36 | When the Scroll Is Cut but the Word Remains
We are living in an hour where many want truth in portions, but not in fullness. People are comfortable with the parts of the Word that encourage, inspire, and uplift, but become resistant when truth confronts, corrects, or calls for change and when conviction begins to rise, there is often an attempt to reduce the weight of the message instead of responding to it.
This chapter reminds us of something powerful: The rejection of the Word does not remove the authority of the Word. Truth remains truth, even when people try to silence it, reshape it, ignore it, or remove the parts they do not want to hear and in this hour, Father is calling His people to honor His Word fully and not selectively.
The Chapter Unfolded
In Jeremiah 36, Yahuah instructs Jeremiah to write His words on a scroll. Since Jeremiah is restricted from entering the House, Baruch reads the words publicly before the people and leaders.
At first, there is concern among some who hear it. They recognize the seriousness of what has been spoken. But when the scroll finally reaches the king, his response reveals the condition of his heart.
As the words are read, he cuts the scroll piece by piece and throws it into the fire. It is such a striking image. Instead of allowing the Word to confront him, he attempts to destroy the message itself, but what happens next is the key to the whole chapter: Yahuah tells Jeremiah to write the words again.
The scroll was burned but the Word remained because no human resistance can erase what Father has spoken.
A Moment to Look Within
How do I respond when the Word confronts areas of my life that need to change?
Do I receive correction with humility… or do I avoid, justify, or soften what is being shown to me?
Am I embracing the fullness of truth, or only the parts that feel comfortable and have I truly given the Word permission to shape my life?
Abba Yahuah,
Thank You for Your Word, which remains true and steady.
Give me a heart that receives correction with humility and openness. Remove any resistance within me that tries to avoid what You are speaking.
Teach me to honor Your truth fully and not selectively, not partially, but completely. Let Your Word take deep root in my life and transform me from within.
In the name of YAHUSHUA halleluYAH!
Listen to an anointing teaching by Esther Cohen regarding this fascinating chapter.
Beloved, no matter how much this world changes, Father’s Word still stands. It cannot be burned away, silenced, or removed by human hands and if you remain anchored in His truth, you will remain steady in every season.
So stay close to His Word and let it shape you, strengthen you, and lead you because what Father speaks remains forever.
Shalom beloved,
