OMER COUNT DAY 27
Jeremiah 29 | Faithfulness in the Waiting
As we come into this chapter, the setting is not one of immediate breakthrough but of settling into a season that was not chosen. The people are in exile, far from what is familiar, and naturally, they are longing for a quick return, yet the word that comes through Jeremiah is unexpected.
They are told to build, to plant, to establish, to seek the peace of the very place they find themselves in. In other words, do not resist the season, live faithfully within it.
This is what makes the chapter so significant because while there were voices promising a quick end to their situation, YAHUAH speaks something deeper and more grounded. He makes it clear that this season has purpose, and that rushing out of it is not the answer.
then, in the midst of this instruction, comes the well-known promise, that His plans are for peace and not for harm, to give a future and a hope but that promise is not separate from the process, it is within it.
The Prophetic Shadow
In this hour, many are longing for sudden change—for things to shift quickly, for clarity to come instantly, for doors to open without delay but Father is calling His people to something deeper than quick movement.
He is calling for faithfulness in the waiting and there is a forming that happens when you stay planted. A maturity that comes when you remain steady and a depth that is built when you trust Him, not just for the outcome but within the process and just like in this chapter, there are still voices today that promise shortcuts. But true alignment is not found in escaping the season, it is found in walking with Him through it.
A Moment to Look Within
How am I responding to the season I am in right now? Am I constantly looking for a way out, or am I willing to be present and faithful where Father has placed me? Am I trusting His timing, or am I growing restless for things to change and in this space—am I seeking Him, or just seeking the outcome?
Abba Yahuah,
Teach me to trust You in every season.
Where I have become restless or impatient, help me to settle into what You are doing in my life. Give me grace to be faithful where I am, and to walk with You daily, even when I don’t see the full picture.
Strengthen my heart to trust Your timing and root me deeply in Your truth.
Thank You that Your plans are good, and that You are leading me with purpose.
In the name of YAHUSHUA, HalleluYAH!
Here is an amazing teaching by Esther Cohen regarding this chapter:
This season is not empty, it is intentional. Even if it feels slow, even if it feels hidden, Father is working. He is building something in you that cannot be rushed. So don’t withdraw and don’t disconnect, just stay present.
What you do in this season matters more than you realize and it is preparing you for what is ahead.
Shalom beloved,
