OMER COUNT DAY 26

Jeremiah 28 | When the Yoke Is Broken Too Soon

As we step into this chapter, we see a direct confrontation between two voices. Jeremiah carries the word of YAHUAH, a call to remain under the yoke, to submit to what He has appointed but then Hananiah rises and declares the opposite. He breaks the yoke and prophesies quick freedom, saying that the season of pressure will end soon.

It sounds hopeful and relieving but it is not from YAHUAH and this is where the chapter becomes very real for us, because not every word that promises breakthrough is truth. Not every declaration of “freedom” is aligned with Father’s timing. In fact, forcing a breakthrough before the work is complete can lead to something heavier than what we were first under.

Jeremiah’s response is steady, he does not argue loudly, no, he simply holds to what YAHUAH has spoken and in time the truth is revealed.

The Prophetic Shadow

There is a strong pull in this hour toward quick answers and immediate release. People are drawn to words that promise ease, speed, and relief from pressure but Father is not rushed.

There is a deep work He is doing in His people and when that process is interrupted or rejected too soon, it does not produce freedom, it produces instability.

This is a time to be discerning. Not every voice that sounds hopeful is carrying truth and not every delay is something to escape. Some are seasons to remain in, because they are shaping you for what is ahead.

A Moment to Look Within

Where in my life am I seeking a quick way out, instead of allowing Father to complete His work in me? Am I drawn to words that bring immediate comfort, or to truth that calls me to stay, endure, and grow? Have I, in any way, tried to “break the yoke” before its purpose was fulfilled?

Abba Yahuah,

Teach me to trust Your timing. Where I have desired quick answers or easy escape, help me to surrender to Your process. Give me discernment to recognize what is truly from You, and what is not.

Strengthen me to remain steady, to walk in obedience, and to allow You to complete what You have started in me. I trust that Your way leads to life.

In the name of YAHUSHUA. HalleluYAH!

Here is a teaching by Esther Cohen, which will further deepen what Father is revealing today in this chapter to us.

Beloved, you are not being delayed, you are being prepared. What feels slow is often where the deepest work is happening and when Father completes what He has started in you, it will not be shallow or temporary, it will be established.

What He is building in you is worth the process.

Shalom beloved,
