🌿 Counting the Omer – Day 4

Jeremiah 6 | Returning to the Ancient Paths

Shalom beloved,

As we step into Day 4 of the Omer, we are led into the Book of Jeremiah chapter 6. A chapter that carries both a warning and a deep invitation from the Father’s heart. There is a sense of urgency here, but also a clear pathway back to life.

The people in Jeremiah’s time were surrounded by warning signs, yet they chose to ignore them. They heard the truth, but did not respond and in the midst of this, the Father speaks something so powerful and timeless:

“Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.”

This is the cry over the Remnant right now. After the purging, after the returning, after the refining…now comes a decision: Which path will you walk?, because not every way that seems right leads to life. The Father is calling us back to the ancient paths…His ways, His instructions, His truth that does not change with time or culture.

There is also a warning in this chapter about false peace …voices that say, “Peace, peace,” when there is no true alignment and this speaks so directly into our current time.

We must be discerning because not every comforting word is from the Father. True peace only comes through obedience and covenant alignment, yet even in the warning, His heart is still for restoration.

He is not trying to push His people away…He is calling them back before it is too late. This is love speaking with urgency.

For the REMNANT in This Moment

Day 4 of the Omer is an invitation to choose the ancient path intentionally. Not out of routine, but out of conviction and not halfway, but fully. Ask Him today: “Father, show me Your path clearly—and give me the courage to walk in it”, because the promise still stands… When we walk in His ways, we will find rest for our souls.

🌿 Encouragement for the Remnant

Take heart, beloved…this is not a journey of striving, but of being led. The very fact that you are responding, that your heart is turning, that you are seeking His ways, is evidence that He is drawing you deeper.

Do not be overwhelmed by the weight of choosing the right path…. He is faithful to guide every step when your heart is set on Him. Even when the road feels narrow, it is filled with His presence, His peace and His purpose.

Stay close, stay willing and trust that as you choose His ancient paths, you are being established in something unshakable and eternal.
