MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN (Part 4)

Shabbat Shalom beloved,

🕊️ “Many Are Called, But Few Are Chosen — The Call to Focus”

📖 Torah Portion: Emor (Leviticus 21–24)

In this week’s Torah portion, Emor, meaning “Speak,” Yahuah instructs Moshe to speak to the priests — those who were called to live lives of holiness and purity, separated for His service. Every command given in Emor was not random; it shaped a people who would represent Yahuah’s character before all nations.

Their calling required discipline, purity, and above all, focus. This same principle echoes in the words of our Master Yahusha, who said:

“For many are called, but few are chosen.” — Matthew 22:14

The call of Yahuah goes out broadly — to all who will listen — but being chosen requires a response of obedience and devotion. It is not about being more important; it is about being more available to the will of the Father.

To be chosen means to walk a narrow and focused path, where distractions must fall away and purpose becomes clear. Like a falcon soaring high, our eyes must remain fixed on the target — the will of Yahuah.

A falcon does not glance from side to side or lose focus in flight. It rides the wind with precision and waits for the perfect moment to strike. Likewise, those who are chosen learn to wait on Yahuah’s timing, to discern His direction, and to stay aligned with His Spirit no matter what storms come.

Emor teaches us that our words and actions must reflect holiness. We are called to speak life, to live set apart, and to walk with focus and integrity. Yahusha calls us higher — to rise above the noise of the world and keep our eyes on the unseen, eternal purpose.

🪶 Reflection:

Ask yourself — am I merely called, or am I walking as one chosen? Do I allow distractions to pull me away from my purpose, or am I focused like a falcon on the path Yahuah has set before me?

🕯️ Prayer:

Abba Yahuah, help me to respond to Your call with focus and faithfulness. Teach me to guard my words, to walk in holiness, and to keep my eyes fixed like a falcon upon Your ways. Strengthen me to be among the few who are chosen — steadfast, obedient, and unwavering in Your truth. In the beautiful Name of YAHUSHUA ha’Mashiach HalleluYAH.

Shabbat Shalom
