Day 23 (Elul 23) – The Secret Place

MODEH ANI – MORNING PRAYER

Inhaling the new day’s air reminds me of the manna You gave in the desert—fresh each day and given from Your hand of grace, sustaining Your people. Thank You, Abba YAHUAH, for granting me a new day to inhale life—the very air You created—out of Your hand of grace. You are the ALEPH and the TAV, the Beginning and the End, the One Who was, Who is, and Who will forever be the Almighty YAH. You were with me from the beginning, and You will be with me until the end. I praise Your wonderful Name and honor You as my KING of kings and my MASTER of masters. May You reveal Your will to me in the secret place of Your embrace. In the beautiful Name of YAHUSHUAHALLELUYAH!

REFLECTION: Is there space for the secret place?

The daily rat race devours our time, leaving little space for dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. There is a reason why we feel insecure and lost at the end of the day. If we make the secret place of YAHUAH our home—constantly seeking Him and resting in His presence—we will abide under His protection and guidance, no matter what storms come. Yet, we often run in circles throughout the day, only to end up in the same emotionally drained place.

The secret place is not only a hiding place—it is also a place of restoration and security. The Hebrew word ‘sēter’ (סֵתֶר) means a hidden, sheltered, or protected place. This is your secret “safe zone,” or “bomb shelter” where you can enter and soak in the presence of YAHUAH, resting and refreshing your soul for as long as you need. In this sacred space, you are hidden from the chaos of the world, strengthened in His love, and restored in His peace.

TESHUVAH | Return: stop the rat race & flow into the secret place

Our soul longs to connect with our Creator, but the rhythm of the world pushes us in the opposite direction, leaving us empty, stressed, overwhelmed, drained, and depressed. This is the result of not dwelling in the Secret Place under the shadow of the Almighty YAHUAH.

The Secret Place is where restoration happens—a place to be revitalized, renewed, refreshed, and revived, where fresh strength and energy flow as we are surrounded by the Glory of YAHUAH. This is what our soul longs for, and this is the beauty of TESHUVAH: returning to the Secret Place of the Most High.

As you walk with the KING in your field, pause in His presence and let your heart turn back to Him. Repent for the moments you have not made time to dwell in His Secret Place, and allow His glory to fill you afresh. Share with Him the struggles and obstacles that press into your daily rhythm, and ask Him to guide you into deeper communion. Lay down the distractions, the worldly pleasures, and the fleshly desires that steal your time, and let Him draw you closer into the embrace of His love.

BERACHAH | Blessing: A life filled with Grace is found in HIS Secret Place

The Berachah of dwelling in His Secret Place holds a key that ignites your soul-soil into an anointed life. As you soak in His presence regularly, His supernatural power flows into every area of your life. In this sacred space, He nourishes and refreshes you, giving strength to endure, courage to overcome, and authority to conquer what the world tries to suffocate or smother you with.

Do not face the days ahead apart from the Secret Place of the Almighty YAHUAH. He waits there, longing to release the treasures He has prepared for you in each moment. The blessing of His presence exceeds all expectation, for His love is everlasting and far purer than anything the world uses to keep you distracted.

SCRIPTURE: PSALM 91:1

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”

This verse is a personal invitation of love, with you as the guest of honor, opening the door to intimacy with the KING in the field. It calls you to dwell with Him in His Secret Place, to spend time resting in His presence. How marvelous it is to be invited by the Most High, KING of kings!

David gives us a beautiful example in Psalm 57:1, speaking of a “secret treasure.” This was the very place he fled to from Saul, hiding in a cave, yet finding refuge in the dwelling of the Most High: “Be merciful to me, O Eloah, be merciful to me, for my soul trusts in You; yea, in the shadow of Your wings I will make my hiding place, until the great destruction passes by.”

Even in a physical cave, David’s true hiding place was YAHUAH’s Secret Place, under the shadow of His wings. Likewise, in our times of hardship and challenge, this is the place we must seek—His protective, intimate presence, where our soul is safe, restored, and strengthened.
