Day 21 (Elul 21) – ACTIONS ARE WEIGHED

MODEH ANI – MORNING PRAYER

Abba Yahuah thank You for awakening me this morning, calling my name and pointing to the day ahead, filled with Your grace and mercy. Thank You for the privilege to be alive and being able to strive through the day to get my life in line with Your will and closer to You. Father, please teach me today to use my words wisely and that I will not be arrogant or walk in pride. Your Word teach me that You weigh up everything I do and my desire is to please You in all my deeds. Please guide me in this process because You are an EL of knowledge and there is none beside You, neither is there any Rock like You. In Yahushua’s beautiful Name, HALLELUYAH!

REFLECTION: Action without satisfaction

Many times, without even realizing it, we begin to imitate what we see in others. We start to speak as they speak and act as they act. What the ear hears eventually settles in the heart, then flows out of the mouth, and, before we know it, grows into a habit.

But nothing goes unseen by our Heavenly Father, Yahuah, the Great I AM. He is fully aware of every word we speak and every action we take. Even in the privacy of our homes, behind closed doors where no one else can hear or see us—the place where we remove the mask and let our guard down—He still knows everything.

This is both a sober reminder and a call to holiness. Yahuah takes note of each action, whether good or bad. His watchful eye is not to condemn us but to lovingly draw us closer, shaping us into vessels that reflect His set-apartness.

TESHUVAH Return: Unclean Deeds to Pure Seeds

Each one of us knows where our weaknesses lie. And if you are unsure of your weak points, simply ask those closest to you—they will help reveal what you may not see. In this journey with the King in the field, His desire is to shape us more into His image. That means if our actions are not pleasing in His sight, we must be willing to deal with them.

But it is not only our actions that matter—our words carry weight too. In fact, words often speak louder than actions. A single word can become an emotional dagger, cutting far deeper and taking much longer to heal than any physical wound. Yahuah takes note of both our words and our actions, whether good or bad.

So, beloved, today is an invitation to look deeply at your own actions and your speech. What are you sowing with your life? From this day forward, embrace an action-and-word detox.

Reflection Questions:

  • What steps can I take today to detox my speech and my deeds?
  • Are my words bringing healing or causing wounds?
  • Do my actions reflect the image of Yahuah?

Challenge:
Write down your answers to these questions and keep them with you. Use them as daily reminders of your journey to overcome through the power of the Ruach HaKodesh and ask YAHUSHUA, the KING in your field to help you step by step.

Choose to let go of what corrupts and to embrace what builds up, so that your life reflects the purity and truth of Yahuah, the One who is shaping you.

BERACHAH Blessing: Actions with love is like heaven above

If our actions align with what Yahuah intends, our lives will be filled with His blessings. A good deed is like water in a desert, and a kind word is like honey in a rock. Each of us has the power to bless others through both our actions and our speech. It all depends on what seed we are watering—or, as my friend used to say, “What wolf are we feeding?”

Yahuah carefully watches us. He weighs every word and every action according to His Word. He is not doing this to punish us or merely to teach us a lesson. No, beloved, He desires to protect us from harm—the paths where the enemy seeks to lead us into destruction. For the enemy is the father of lies and the father of destruction.

But we worship the Father of TRUTH and the Father of LIFE. This is why our words and actions must reflect His image—our Yahuah and beloved KING in the field.

SCRIPTURES:

When I start a day’s devotion, I will always first wait for Father to release a Scripture and today He pointed to 1 Samual 2:3. 📖 “Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for YAHUAH is an Eloah of knowledge, and by Him ACTIONS ARE WEIGHED.

Abba YAHUAH weighs not only our actions but the intentions behind them. He sees and knows things about us that nobody else does. Nothing is hidden from Him.

Instead of playing hide-and-seek and pretending He is unaware of our words or deeds, now is the time to set the record straight. Step into an anointed life—let your actions and words carry His anointing.

OTHER SCRIPTURE WE CAN LOOK AT:

Proverbs 16:2 “All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but YAHUAH weighs the motives.”

Ecclesiastes 12:14 “For YAHUAH will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”

When we repent and make intentional changes in our speech and behavior, the impact extends beyond ourselves. Our lives, the lives of those around us, and our relationship with the KING in the field are all transformed. Such changes create a ripple effect—a truly life-changing, game-changing impact.

PRAYER:

Father, I come before You today, face down in humility. Search my heart and help me to overcome the fleshly ways in which my words and actions fall short of Your glory. I am truly sorry for speaking hurtful words with the same lips I use to praise You.

Please forgive me, Father, and protect me from my own actions and ungodly words that may create wounds in the souls of those around me. Teach me to speak words that reflect Your glory and carry Your anointing, so that I may bring healing, encouragement, and love to others.

Abba Yahuah, cleanse my lips and guide my heart. Help me to speak words that build up, heal, and reflect Your love. Let my life be a vessel of Your anointing, touching others with Your truth and grace, in Yahushua’s Name—HalleluYAH!

INTERESTING EXTRA INFORMATION

The phrase “actions are weighed” can be expressed in Hebrew with words that come directly from Scripture.

  • Actions / deedsמַעֲשִׂים (maʿasim) → plural of maʿaseh (H4639 in Strong’s) meaning “work, deed, action.”
  • Are weighedנִשְׁקָלִים (nishqalim) → from the root שָׁקַל (shaqal, H8254) meaning “to weigh, to measure.”

So together it would be:

👉 מַעֲשִׂים נִשְׁקָלִים (maʿasim nishqalim)
= “actions are weighed”
