A PEOPLE RISES LIKE A LION

🇮🇱

The name of the operation in Iran, “Am K’Lavi” (“A Nation Like a Lion”), is taken from the words of Balaam the wicked. Balaam came from beyond the Euphrates River, near modern-day Iran, to curse Israel — but his curses turned into some of the greatest blessings ever said about the Jewish people.
One of them:
“Behold, a people rises like a lioness, and lifts itself like a lion; it shall not lie down until it devours the prey.
(Numbers 23:24)
So too today — may the curses of our enemies, which began nearly two years ago, turn into great salvation for Israel.

“And Your Haters Shall Flee Before You”
In this week’s Torah portion — Parashat Beha’alotcha — there is an alarm, followed by deliverance. Israel sounds the trumpets throughout the camp, and then it is said:
“And when the Ark would set out, Moses would say: Arise, O YAHWEH, let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee from before You.”
(Numbers 10:35)
So it shall be today as well — the enemies of Israel will miraculously flee.

SHALOM,
