OMER COUNT DAY 32

I will manifest Myself in an unpredictable way to those who are obedient in My Word. Don’t fear or trust in mankind, they are like grass in the wind with no roots. My wind will blow them away. Be rooted in Me. My roots support you. (Rom 11:17-18) No wind will move you if you are rooted in me. I am unshakable, and so will you be when you are rooted in Me.”

SHAKEN BUT NOT BROKEN

“Your house may be shaken, your marriage may be shaken, your relationship & friends may be shaken, your family may be shaken, your health or finances may be shaken, but BEHOLD, I am unshakable!”

“You may be shaken but you are not broken. In every way you may be troubled but not being overwhelmed, being harassed on all sides, but not conquered, being persecuted, but not being forsaken, being thrown down, but not having been destroyed.” (2Cor4:8-9)

“In all of this, I have a tight grip on you and will not let you fall. Fix your eyes in Mine, I am your beloved and you are Mine.” (Song of Songs 2:16)

SHAKEN TO BE AWAKEN

“Arise, arise daughters and sons of Zion! I granted the shaken for you to be awaken! The hour is here to put my lips to your ears. Those who have ears let them hear this call.

The hour is here to be shaken and drop everything that is not of Me. I will prune you, I will cleanse you and I will replant you and give you new life. I will remove all dead and lifeless fruits and cut off the pride branches. I will remove the thorns and then graft you into me so that My roots will support you.”

AN ETERNAL LOVE

“I will allow the shaken even if you don’t understand now. I’m not doing it to hurt you or judging you, but I’m doing it because I love you with an eternal everlasting true love. I want to have you with me for an eternity, that is why I allow the shaken for you to be awaken.”

“AWAKE! AWAKE! PUT ON YOUR STRENGHT, ZION; PUT ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL ROBES JERUSALEM, THE HOLY CITY. FOR NEVER AGAIN SHALL UNCIRCUMCISED AND UNCLEAN ONES COME TO YOU.  SHAKE YOURSELF FROM THE DUST; RISE UP! SIT, JERUSALEM; FREE YOURSELF FROM YOUR NECK BANDS, OH CAPTIVE DAUGHTER OF ZION.” (Isaiah 52:1-2)

“WHO SHALL ASCEND INTO THE MOUNTAIN OF YAHWEH? AND WHO SHALL STAND IN HIS HOLY PLACE? HE WHO HAS CLEAN HANDS AND A PURE HEART; WHO HAS NOT LIFTED UP HIS SOUL TO FALSEHOOD AND HAS NOT SWORN DECEIT.” (Ps 24:3-4)

“THIS IS THE GENERATION OF THOSE SEEKING HIM; THEY SEEK YOUR FACE, O ELOHIM OF JACOB. SELAH. LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, O GATES; AND BE LIFTED UP,  O EVERLASTING DOORS; AND THE KING OF GLORY SHALL COME IN.

WHO IS THIS KING OF GLORY? YAHWEH STRONG AND MIGHTY! YAHWEH STRONG IN BATTLE!” (Ps 24:6-8)

THE REMNANT IS RISING

“And He shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of water, which will give its fruit in it’s season, and it’s leaf will not wither, and all which he does will prosper. Not so are the wicked, but they are ONLY AS CHAFF which the wind drives about.”
Psalm 1:3-4

The imagery of chaff is the exact opposite of the rooted and unwithered tree that represents the blessed. Chaff, of course, is the outer husk that must be removed from grains before they can be eaten. Harvesters would do so by first threshing the grain to loosen the husk and then winnowing it to remove the chaff. To winnow the grain, the harvester would toss the grain into a light wind, which would carry the chaff away as the grain fell back to the ground. Thus, chaff was so insubstantial that the slightest wind was enough to blow it away from the useful grain.

This is the picture of the wicked. They are not rooted in the eternal streams of Yahweh’s unfailing Word as the blessed are. Instead, because their highest counsel comes from sinners and scoffers, they are doomed to be “tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes” (Ephesians 4:14). Even when the wicked appear to prosper, we should remember the truth that Asaph confessed: “Truly you set them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin” (Psalm 73:18).

Because chaff is driven away by the wind, it was often used to describe something that was useless. Compare such chaff with the fruitful tree of verse 3. Again, we should remember that a tree does not bear fruit for itself but for others, which is the fruit that the gospel works in us.

Just as Yahshua “came not to be served but to serve” (Mark 10:45), so does Paul command us to “do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others” (Philippians 2:3-4). Again, the wicked are not so. They do not yield fruit in season for the benefit of others; instead, they only hinder the good of others until they are at last driven away.

Which describes you? Are you like chaff? Can others only enjoy the grain whenever you have been removed from the equation? Or do you imitate Yahshua’s resolve to serve others, to bear fruit for their good? Let us ponder on this question during this Omer Counting of Day 32 and ask Yahweh to help us identify the spiritual chaff that is not of Him and to remove it in all areas of our lives until we are useful grain, ready to be a living sacrifice.
