THE SPIRIT OF ELIJAH

Shalom beloved,

Thank you for reading this blog. The main subject in this blog is the Return of Yahshua and the fulfilment of Bible prophecies in our time combined with YAHWEH’s creation and His feasts. Today I want to connect the restoration of the New Testament Congregation to where she was at the very beginning.

YAHWEH used the prophets in the Old Testament to foretell what was going to take place. Then He used the apostles who were witnesses to what took place when Scripture was fulfilled and all the promises from the Old Testament became a reality here on earth. They were all Watchman. In Ephesians 3:1 we can see how the apostle Paul emphasized the mystery that was made known to him by divine revelation. And then he states in verse 5: “as it was revealed to his apostles and prophets by the Holy Spirit.” 

Everything is divine revelation. In my book, ENDTIME WATCHMAN, you will read a lot about the end time, about the Return of the Yahshua, and about the things that are now taking place as the fulfilment of Bible prophecies, but I must emphasize that before the Return of Yahshua, there has to be a total restoration of all things.

The New Testament Congregation at the end must be as she was at the beginning.

In the beginning, YAHWEH placed into His Congregation the fivefold ministry, and at the last round, when YAHWEH is going to move in a very great and mighty way, in the last phase the New Testament would experience (before the actual return of Yahshua) a full restoration. The same power of YAHWEH, the same teachings, the same baptism in the Holy Spirit, the same baptism in water – everything will be and will have to be the same as it was in the beginning because Yahweh is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last and He is the same yesterday, today and forever. 

That is how Mattaniah Ministry’s slogan was created: REVIVE REPENT RESTORE ROAR. First, the New Testament Congregation must revive, then she must repent, then she will be restored and then she will get the ROAR – The ROAR OF FIRE FROM YAHWEH!

We are not living in the days of reformation. We are living at the time of restoration of all things.

THE TWELVE FOUNDATIONS

What is the importance of the teachings of the twelve apostles? Firstly, we can go to Revelation chapter 21 where we will see the New Jerusalem and where we read about the twelve gates and the twelve pillars. There we find the names of the twelve apostles. Revelation chapter 21:14 “And the wall of the city had twelve foundations and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the lamb.” The number twelve is symbolic of completeness and perfection, often representing the twelve tribes of Israel or the twelve apostles chosen by Yahshua.

The apostles were chosen by Yahshua Himself to be the foundational leaders and teachers of the early congregation, and their teachings and witness serve as the spiritual foundation of the Covenant faith. Furthermore, the reference to the “Lamb” in this verse is significant, as it alludes to Yahshua as the sacrificial Lamb who takes away the sins of the world. The use of “Lamb” throughout the book of Revelation is a central symbol representing the redemptive work of Yahshua and his atoning sacrifice.

By referencing the “apostles of the Lamb,” the verse emphasizes the link between the apostles and the sacrificial work of Yahshua, implying that their ministry and teachings are rooted in and flow from the redemptive work of Him. This verse serves as a powerful reminder of the essential role of the apostolic witness and the unchanging nature of the Covenant faith, as well as pointing towards the ultimate fulfilment of Yahweh’s promises in the vision of the new Jerusalem.

We must take things seriously; we cannot just think we are going to make it, if we want to be in the New Jerusalem, if we want to participate in the first resurrection, then we must comply with YAHWEH’s Word in total obedience. We must be able to say as the Son of YAHWEH said: “Not my will but HIS will be done.”

THE NUMBER 12

Secondly, when we read about the twelve apostles, we can go to Revelation chapter 12 which says in verse 1: “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.” We are not going into detail about all this symbolic language at this stage, but everybody understands just like a woman receives the seed and then gives birth to life, so the New Testament Congregation is shown as a woman receiving the seed of the Word of YAHWEH, but she is crowned with the teachings of the twelve apostles.

THE MYSTERY OF THE SEVEN STARS

In Revelation chapter 1:20, it speaks of “The mystery of the seven stars”. Remember twelve stars, a crown of twelve stars, the teachings of the twelve apostles. The New Jerusalem has twelve gates with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, having twelve foundations with the names of the twelve apostles and here we are told about the seven congregations which represent the one congregation throughout the New Testament period. And it says here in Revelation chapter 1:20: “The mystery of the seven stars”. Stars in the hands of YAHWEH are messengers, men of YAHWEH sent with a message to the congregation, and the apostles have the message to the New Testament Congregation.

THE RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS IS NECESSARY

In Revelation chapter 2:2 we read: “You have tried those who claim to be apostles, and they are not, you found them to be liars.” Our teaching and preaching and our practice must be precisely as it was in the days of the apostles. Anybody knows the “church” history that only a few years after the beginning there were brethren teaching various doctrines which were no more the original teachings of the apostles. We must make sure that we do believe according to the scripture, and therefore the restoration of all things is necessary.

If we go to the Old Testament in I Kings 18 the man of YAHWEH placed the altar where it had been before, rebuilding it and then taking the twelve stones according to the twelve tribes of Israel. I Kings 18:30 and 31 we read: “And Elijah said unto all the people, come near unto me and all the people came near unto him, and he repaired the altar of YAHWEH that was broken down, and Elijah took twelve stones according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob.”

We must go back to the harmony of the scripture. Elijah thought he was the only one who remained left but then YAHWEH said, there are still seven thousand who did not bow their knees. He as the prophet of that day called the people of YAHWEH together, he REBUILD the altar, he REPAIRED it and then the people had to make the decision. In the same way, YAHWEH Himself made the promise in the last chapter in the last verse of the Old Testament. HE said: “Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of YAHWEH.”

When you have such a promise you must go back to what Elijah actually did to know what Elijah would do, who should come just before the great and dreadful day of YAHWEH would be. John the Baptist came before the day of salvation started. He PREPARED THE WAY of YAHSHUA but this Elijah who is to come before the great and terrible of YAHWEH, HE MUST RESTORE!

In so many scriptures we find the word “PREPARE”.  John prepared but the prophetic ministry which now is before the Return of Yahshua relates to the word “RESTORE”.  You can read it in Matthew 17:11, “And answering, Yahshua said to them, Elijah indeed will come first so that all things might be fulfilled.” and the same in Mark chapter 9:12.

THE REPAIRER OF THE BREACH, THE RESTORER OF PATHS

This Scripture is one of my personal favourite ones because it forms part of my calling. If we go to the prophet Isaiah, we find how the word “REPAIR” and “RESTORE” is being used in the Old Testament and then we can go forward with it to the New Testament.

Here is the promise in Isaiah chapter 58:11-12: “And YAHWEH shall always guide you, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose water do not fail. And those who come of you shall BUILD THE OLD REUINS: you shall REAR the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called THE REPAIRER OF THE BREACH, THE RESTORER OF PATHS TO LIVE IN.“ In the Old Testament we also have these promises. We must know that the whole plan of salvation was already spoken of in the Old Testament.

The Old Testament is concealed, and in the New Testament it is REVEVEALED.

Elijah truly SHALL FIRST COME AND RESTORE ALL THINGS

We must pay attention to the words, old/rear foundations, repairer of the breach, restorer of the path to dwell in (referring to the ancient paths). When we look at Matthew 17, I want you to know this is YAHWEH’s time for YAHWEH’s people. It is not enough to know what great evangelists or charismatic personalities are doing, we must know what YAHWEH promised for this day. We must have part in that which He does according to His promised Word.

In Matthew 17 we have the record of Moses and Elijah appearing on the mountain of transfiguration. Peter, John, and James were present, and the question was placed before YAHWEH: “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must first come?” And then of course we have the answer from the lips of Yahshua Himself in verse 11: “And Yahshua answered and said unto them, Elijah truly SHALL FIRST COME AND RESTORE ALL THINGS”, and as we read the prophet Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 58:11-12 that there will be a RESTORATION, there will be a REPAIR done.

So much damage was done in comparison to the New Testament Congregation. Everything was changed. All the teachings, all the practises were changed. Great damage was done. Everything was interpreted, misplaced, and displaced but now the time has come to lay the old foundations, to uncover them just like the rebuilding of the temple took place.

In ancient time they did not lay a new foundation; they just took all things away until they found the old foundations and then the temple was rebuilt on the same foundation. .

It’s the same today and that is exactly what the Elijah’s of today must do. Not a new foundation, not new teachings but the doctrines of the twelve apostles just as we read in Acts 2:42 about the New Testament Congregation (not church) at the very beginning remaining in the teachings of the apostles in prayer, in fellowship, and so forth. But since the apostolic days all has changed and people live in traditions thinking it’s the Word of YAHWEH, believing it’s biblical when it’s not.

Therefore, we have to compare the Word of YAHWEH with what we believe, and we must stand on YAHWEH’s Word and believe what the Scripture says.

There is a complete restitution. A restoration, a repair, a laying of the foundation, or uncovering the old foundation and building again according to the Bible pattern.

LET MY PEOPLE GO!

YAHWEH at special times uses someone to call His people back to Himself and to His Word.

To understand the times, we are living in is not enough, to only speak about the end time, about the fulfilment of Bible prophecies is also not enough. We must know what YAHWEH promised to the New Testament Congregation, how she is to be called out prepared, and made ready for the Return of the bridegroom.

Of course, everybody can read Matthew 25: “Behold the bridegroom is coming”. Everybody can preach about the 10 virgins and can explain who the foolish are and who the wise are, but now the time has come not to explain but to PREPARE, because the Scripture says in Matthew 25:10: “They that were ready went into the marriage and the door was closed.”

This is YAHWEH’s time to call His people out from all unscriptural things. Again, He will say to the spirit of Pharaoh in our days: “Let my people go!” because the majority of “churches” today are stuck in the spirit of control! They might sound biblical and today everybody uses Bible terminologies, but they are slaves under the spirit of control.

Prophetic and Apostolic ministry

Everybody speaks about Christianity. At present, we have 342 “church denominations” joined in the World Council of Churches. But Yahshua has only one congregation He purchased. HE paid the price, He shed His blood, and He gave His life. So now He is calling out His BRIDE from all the churches and bringing her back to Himself and to His Word to believe in Him as the Scripture says in Acts.

Beloved, this is a prophetic and apostolic ministry. That means to say, we are brought back to the true Word of YAHWEH spoken unto us in the Name of YAHWEH under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by the apostles and prophets. The New Testament Congregation according to Ephesians 2 is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets.

YAHWEH is taking action and says: “Let my people go!”  Revelations 18:4 “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not be a partner in her sins and receive her plagues:”

May you hear His voice, line up with His Word, and my prayer is that you may REVIVE, REPENT, be RESTORED and then you will ROAR with the FIRE of YAHWEH and walk like an Elijah in these last days!
