A CALL TO HOLINESS PART 4
How do I prepare for the Rapture or the tribulation? There is only one answer: REPENTANCE!
In YAHWEH’s Word He tells us what He loves about us and what He hates us doing. If we follow His instructions and strive for the things He loves and avoid the things He hates, we are definitely on the right track!
If you do YAHWEH’s will as it is revealed to you, then you will develop spiritual maturity unjudging sound doctrine. This will prevent you from being deceived by false teaching.
NUGGET
You should be motivated to do YAHWEH’s will because you love Him.
Seven things YAHWEH hates.
(Proverbs 6:16-23)
There are six evils YAHWEH truly hates and a seventh that is an abomination to him:
1. Putting others down while considering yourself superior,
2. Spreading lies and rumours,
3. Spilling the blood of the innocent,
4. Plotting evil in your heart toward another,
5. Gloating over doing what is plainly wrong,
6. Spouting lies in false testimony, and
7. Stirring up strife between friends.
YAHWEH’s wisdom will guide you wherever you go and keep you from bringing harm to yourself. Let your life be shaped by what He taught you.
YAHWEH’s instructions will whisper to you at every sunrise and direct you through a brand-new day.
A BIBLICAL EXAMPLE
Consider the example of King David. During his early life, a diagram of his conformity to the will of YAHWEH might have looked something like this: When David first became king, he walked in conformity to the will of YAHWEH. YAHWEH even called David a man after His own heart. But then David sinned with another man’s wife who gave birth to an illegitimate child. This was in direct disobedience to YAHWEH’s written Word. David came before YAHWEH in repentance, was forgiven, and came back in line with YAHWEH’s will.
It is the overall pattern of your conformity to YAHWEH’s will that is important. Through every experience of learning to know YAHWEH’s voice, both positive and negative, you can continue to advance in your ability to discern YAHWEH’s perfect will. Continue to strive for conformity despite occasional failures.
Do not ever give up!
Scripture for the day.
HIS PURPOSE FOR YOU:
“For I know the purpose which I am planning for you, says YAHWEH; purposes of peace, and not for evil; to give you a *future* and a hope.” (Jer 29:11)
YAHWEH reveals His plan a step at a time. This means He does not reveal the entire plan for your life, with all the details, at one time. YAHWEH does not just speak once in a lifetime to you and you cannot develop a relationship with someone based on one conversation. Relationship is a continuing process of communication. YAHWEH continues to speak, and you increase in your ability to recognize His voice. YAHWEH has reasons for revealing His will a step at a time.
TRUST THE PROSES
YAHWEH also does not reveal His entire plan because we tend to worry over the future. The Bible warns: “Then do not be anxious for tomorrow. For tomorrow will be anxious of itself. Sufficient to each day is its own trouble.”
(Matthew 6:34)
Do not worry about the future. Make only the decisions necessary for today. The future is controlled by YAHWEH. This does not mean you should not do wise planning for the future. But you are not to worry about it.
LEARN TO LIFE BY FAITH
What is important is to live in the revealed will of YAHWEH for this day. Learn to hear His voice in your daily walk. A daily walk in His will results in a lifelong walk in His will.
YAHWEH does not reveal His total plan because He wants you to learn to live by faith. It is easier to take the first step if one knows where the path is headed. It is not as easy to make a step of faith into the unknown.
