COUNTING OF THE OMER DAY 24
WHY ARE WE COUNTING THE 50 DAYS TO PENTECOST?
Yahweh is doing everything on purpose, and FOR a purpose on the exact date, exact day and exact time. He is always on time!
He also gives His stipulated commandments as a map for us to follow. In Leviticus 23:15-16 Yahweh gave clear instructions of counting 50 days and just a few verses later (v21) He said: “It is a never ending statue in all your dwellings throughout your generations.” That is a very clear instruction, not only for us to obey, but Yahweh also knew that His Son will fulfill this too.
THE 40 + 10 DAYS OMER WALK
“Pentecostos” as a Greek word means fifty. After Yahshua was resurrected, He stayed on earth for 40 days and before His ascension, He told His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit; so it was made clear that the day of Pentecost or the number of days of the coming of the Holy Spirit after the ascension was after 10 days to complete the fifty days.
PROPHETIC 10
10 is a number of divine laws, righteousness, responsibility, perfection, judgment, and completeness. Ten follows nine which is the number of spiritual completions signifying that the man who is spiritually complete walks in the fullness of the power, authority, and righteousness of Yahweh. That is why another 10 days were added by Yahweh after Yahshua ascended to heaven, to symbolize the completeness of His perfect plan during these 50 days.
PROPHETIC 40
In Sacred Scripture, the number â40â signifies new life, new growth, transformation, or a change from one great task to another great task.
Let’s look at periods of 40 in Scripture:
Yahweh’s 40 Map
⢠40 Days of rain with Noah’s flood (Gen 7)
⢠Yahweh gave Nineveh 40 days to repent (Jonah 3:4)
⢠From exiting Egypt till arriving at Mount Sinai was 40 days travel
⢠Moses was twice up Mount Sinai to receive the *10* Commandments and both times was a period of 40 days
⢠Yahshua was 40 days in the desert before starting His full-time ministry
⢠It was 40 days after Yahshua raised up from the grave when He was ascended up in heaven.
I’m just awestruck about this perfect detail of our Creator Father
PROPHETIC 50
The number 50 symbolizes deliverance or freedom from a burden. Yahweh commanded ancient Israel that every fiftieth year, on the Day of Atonement, that a Jubilee was to be declared with the sound of a trumpet (Leviticus 25).
During the Jubilee year, all debts were settled in favor of the debtor and inheritances were returned to their rightful owners. Also, those who worked as slave laborers in order to repay a debt were granted their freedom to return home to their families and land.
With all this said, can you sense in the Spirit why it is so important for us as Covenant Believers to understand this 50 day counting we are in? It’s absolutely heavenly orchestrated and to be part of it is such a privilege and honor!

Day 24
Today is twenty-four days, which is three weeks and three days of the Omer.
Blessed are you, Yahweh our ELohim, King of the universe, Who has justified us by faith in Yahshua the Messiah, and commanded us concerning the counting of the omer.
Scripture for Day 24
Psalm 24:3-4
“Who shall go up into the hill of YAHWEH? And who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceit.”
