40 Days of Heart Purging for Pesach
Shalom beloved,
As we approach Pesach, we are reminded that deliverance is not only an event — it is a condition of the heart. Israel left Egypt in one night, but Egypt had to be removed from Israel in the wilderness during 40 years before they could enter the Promised Land.
For the next 40 days, beginning with the first day of the 12th Biblical month (as the new moon sliver is sighted tonight – 18/02/26), we will walk a journey of deep heart preparation before Yah.
Just as physical chametz is searched out and removed from our homes before Pesach, so we will allow the Ruach to search out every hidden leaven within us — pride, offense, fear, self-will, bitterness, compromise, and everything still operating in the flesh.
The Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 5:7: “Purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump…”
This is an invitation, not condemnation.
This is preparation, not pressure.
This is refinement, not rejection.
Each day we will reflect on one area of the heart, align it with Scripture, and end in prayer — allowing Yah to cleanse us so that we may approach Pesach with sincerity and truth.
May these 40 days not just prepare us for a feast, but be a transformation of the heart.
“Search me, O Eloah…” — Psalms 139:23
Let the purging begin. 🔥🍞
