Day 38 | Day of AWE 9 | The Pit of Preparation

Abba YAHUAH, I thank You, living and eternal King, for You have mercifully restored my soul within me; great is Your faithfulness.

Help me to focus on the result and not the resistance, trusting Your divine plan. Pour out Your Berachah upon me: align my heart with Yours, bless my steps, fill my day with Your presence, and empower me to encourage others in faithfulness. May my life be fragrant, holy, and pleasing as I walk in the field today. In YAHUSHUA’s Name, HalleluYAH!

REFLECTION: Focusing on the Result, Not the Resistance

The narrow path is challenging, often lined with betrayal, rejection, and hardship, yet it is fragrant with Teshuvah and overflowing with Berachah (Matthew 7:14). Joseph’s life provides a perfect example of this truth. He was betrayed by his own brothers and thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned (Genesis 37:23–28; 39:20).

Similarly, Joseph’s life illustrates that apparent setbacks can be periods of divine preparation. Betrayed by his brothers, thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, and imprisoned, Joseph might have seen only resistance. But YAHUAH was shaping him for influence and leadership. The pit was a training ground, cultivating wisdom, character, and faithfulness, ultimately elevating him to save nations (Genesis 41:39–41). His focus was on the result, not the resistance, a principle we are called to follow on our narrow path.

At first glance, these experiences seemed like setbacks, but they were training ground for greatness. YAHUAH was shaping Joseph’s character, faith, and wisdom, preparing him to become a ruler and a life-giver to many nations.

His focus was not on the resistance—the pit, betrayal, or false accusations—but on walking faithfully, obeying YAHUAH, and trusting in His plan. In the same way, our lives may feel like a narrow path filled with trials, but every act of Teshuvah, obedience, and surrender becomes a fragrant offering (רֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ, reiach nichoach, H7381 & H5207), pleasing to the King.

The resistance we face is temporary; the result is eternal fruitfulness, alignment with the Father’s plan, and overflowing Berachah.

When you feel in a “pit” of difficulty or loneliness, remember Joseph: YAHUAH’s hand is still on you, shaping, training, and preparing you for a greater purpose.Focus on the result—faithfulness, influence, blessing—rather than the immediate opposition.

The narrow path may challenge us with betrayal, persecution, or unexpected trials, but like Joseph, if we remain faithful and obedient, YAHUAH’s plan unfolds. Our surrender rises like incense, our Teshuvah strengthens us, and His Berachah brings fruitfulness beyond what we can see.

Reflection and Application

When betrayal, hardship, or trials feel overwhelming, remember Joseph and YAHUSHUA: the narrow path is part of a greater divine purpose. Focus on obedience, surrender, and faithfulness, not the resistance. Offer every act of Teshuvah as a fragrant sacrifice, trusting YAHUAH to bring fruitfulness and blessing. Encourage one another, pray together, and share testimonies of faithfulness to sustain perseverance (Hebrews 10:24–25).

Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love Elohim, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

The pit, the betrayal, and the trials along the narrow path are not the end—they are preparation. Like Joseph, our seasons of testing are shaping us for influence, maturity, and alignment with YAHUAH’s greater plan. Each act of Teshuvah, each step of obedience, rises as a fragrant offering before the King. Even when the path is lonely, challenging, or opposed, we can trust that YAHUAH is at work. Focus on the result, not the resistance, knowing that your faithfulness is never wasted.

Teshuvah [תשובה] brings Berachah [ברכה], the blessing of our King.

Shalom,
