Day 29 (Elul 29) – SEPARATION BATH G629 BY HIS BLOOD
MODEH ANI – MORNING PRAYER
Abba YAHUAH, as the earth and all creation rise to glorify You with their breathtaking colors and the sounds of the animals announcing the new day, I too bow before You this morning. HOLY, HOLY, HOLY are You, ALMIGHTY YAHUAH, the One Who created the heavens and the earth and every living thing upon it by the power of Your voice. Thank You, Father, for the gift of another day flowing from Your gracious hand.
How mighty are Your works, how steadfast are Your words, and how powerful is the Blood of Your Son—our Covering, our Shield, our Salvation, and the Full Ransom that has delivered us from eternal death. I want to be apolouo (washed) by His blood, so that I can be as white as snow.
With all my heart I honor You and lift up praise in this morning hour, declaring that You are the Eternal, Everlasting Eloah, worthy of glory forever and ever. HALLELUYAH!

APOLUTROSIS G629: RANSOM IN FULL / WASHED BY THE BLOOD
The Hebrew word “Apolutrosis” (G629) comes from ‘apo’ (G575), meaning “to separate,” and ‘lutron’ (G3083), meaning “a redemption price / ransom / to loosen” Together, it carries the beautiful meaning of a “Separation Redemption Price.”
REFLECTION: Redemption frees us, but cleansing purifies us
In YAHUSHUA, we have apolutrōsis—a full redemption that was purchased at the highest cost. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 1:7, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” This word does not speak of a partial freedom or a temporary release, but of a complete deliverance—like a slave being set free once and for all because the ransom price has been fully paid.

Through the shedding of His blood, YAHUSHUA secured for us what we could never secure for ourselves. As Colossians 1:14 declares, “In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins,” He has removed the chains of our guilt and given us the freedom to walk as children of YAHUAH. This redemption is not only our present reality but also our future hope. Paul writes in Romans 8:23 that we eagerly await the fullness of our redemption when even our mortal bodies will be transformed and set free from corruption.
The beauty of apolutrōsis lies in its completeness. It is not simply forgiveness—it is the total reclaiming of our lives by the One who paid the full price. It is freedom from the slavery of sin, release from the penalty of eternal death, and the assurance of a glorious inheritance as sons and daughters of the Most High. As Hebrews 9:12 reminds us, Yahushua entered the Most Set-Apart Place “by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”
Yet there is also a key we cannot overlook: we must be willing to be apolouō—washed and cleansed by the very Blood that purchased us. Redemption frees us, but cleansing purifies us. As the Word declares, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). And in the heavenly vision, John saw those who “washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 7:14). Without this washing, we would still carry the stains of sin; but when we surrender and allow His Blood to cleanse us, we are made pure, holy, and acceptable before YAHUAH.
When we reflect on this, we realize that our lives are no longer our own. We have been bought at the ultimate price and washed clean at the fountain of His mercy. Our response, then, is to live in gratitude and surrender, walking daily in the freedom Yahushua purchased and in the purity He provides, while looking forward with hope to the day when redemption will be made complete in every part of us. Truly, apolutrōsis and apolouō together tell the story of love’s ransom and cleansing—the Eternal Eloah reclaiming His people and making them spotless before His throne.
TESHUVAH Return: Out of the mud & Washed by His Blood
Teshuvah is not only about being set free but also about being made clean. Redemption releases us from bondage; washing purifies us to walk in holiness before YAHUAH.
As we reflect on this, we are invited to examine our hearts: Are there areas where we are still living as if we are in chains, even though Yahushua has already redeemed us? Are there parts of our lives where we have resisted being fully washed by His Blood, carrying stains that need His cleansing touch? What attitudes, habits, or patterns need to be surrendered today so that we can walk in the fullness of the freedom and purity He provides? Are we truly willing to let go completely, allowing His Blood to make us spotless, trusting in His full redemption?

The fullness of apolutrōsis and apolouō reminds us that Yahushua’s work is complete. We are not only forgiven and freed but also cleansed and restored. Teshuvah calls us to return fully, leaving behind the stains of our old life and stepping into the garments of righteousness He provides. In this reflection, we are drawn to surrender more deeply, to trust more fully, and to walk daily in the freedom and purity that flow from the Blood of the Lamb.
BERACHAH Blessing: Blood victory over Death, giving everlasting Breath
There is a profound blessing in being washed by the Blood of YAHUSHUA. This washing is not a mere ritual or symbol; it is the full cleansing of our hearts and lives. In this act of washing, we are purified, made holy, and restored to walk in fellowship with YAHUAH.
Being washed by His Blood also brings redemption and freedom. As the Word declares, “YAHUSHUA redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13), and “you were not redeemed with corruptible things… but with the precious blood of Messiah” (1 Peter 1:18-19). This freedom releases us from the bondage of sin and death and secures our identity as children of the Most High.
Furthermore, the Blood opens the way for bold access into the presence of YAHUAH. “Having boldness to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of YAHUSHUA” (Hebrews 10:19) reminds us that we can approach our Father without fear, fully accepted, fully loved, fully cleansed. It also secures victory over death and eternal security, for “the blood of YAHUSHUA His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7) and “they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11).

To be washed by the Blood of YAHUSHUA is to experience all these blessings personally: forgiveness, purification, redemption, freedom, access, and eternal victory. It is a call to live in gratitude, to surrender daily to His cleansing, and to walk boldly in the new life He purchased.
Teshuvah invites us to return fully, leaving behind the stains of our old life and stepping into the garments of righteousness He provides, confident in the fullness of His mercy and love.
SCRIPTURE: 1 Peter 1:17-21
“And if you call on the Father, the One judging according to the work of each one without respect of faces, conduct the time of your sojourning in fear, knowing that not with corruptible things, like silver or gold, were you redeemed from your worthless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Messiah, as a lamb without blemish and without spot, indeed having been preordained for this very purpose before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times because of you, the ones believing in Eloah through Him, He raising Him from the dead, and giving glory to Him so that your faith and hope may be in YAHUAH.”
Peter calls us to live with reverent awe before YAHUAH, reminding us that our lives are meant to reflect holiness and obedience. We are no longer bound to follow worldly desires, for we have been set apart by the most precious of sacrifices. The call to holy living is deeply connected to being washed by the Blood of YAHUSHUA. Just as washing removes dirt, His Blood purifies our hearts from sin, enabling us to walk in righteousness and stand blameless before the Most High.
The Scriptures emphasize that we were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious Blood of Messiah YAHUSHUA, foreknown before the foundation of the world. Redemption and washing flow together: the Blood secured our freedom and cleansed us from our transgressions. This cleansing makes us holy and acceptable in the sight of YAHUAH, not by our own effort, but through the sacrifice that purchased us fully and eternally.
YAHUSHUA’s sacrifice was foreknown, and His resurrection anchors our faith and hope in the living Eloah. Being washed by His Blood is not only an event in the past but an ongoing reality. As we walk in this hope, His cleansing power continues to purify our hearts, guiding our obedience and strengthening our fellowship with YAHUAH.
To be redeemed and washed by the Blood of YAHUSHUA is to experience the fullness of salvation: freedom from sin, purification of the heart, and the call to a life of holiness. It is an invitation to live daily in gratitude, allowing the Blood that purchased us to continually cleanse and restore us, keeping our faith anchored in the eternal and unchanging Eloah.
