Day 2 (Elul 2) – Hearing the Shofar

Reflection: The shofar is not just a sound—it is a call to your soul. Its blast awakens what has grown quiet, stirring you from the sleep of routine and distraction. It reminds us that the life with our Beloved King is meant to be alive and alert.

During these 40 days to Yom Kippur, we can blow our shofars with every sunset. So, with every blast you can ask THE KING IN THE FIELD to awake and stir your alertness in this season for Him to position you into preparation for the appearance of the Bridegroom. Because when that day occurs, you will also hear the sound of the last trump. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52 & 1 Thes 4:16) Trumpets are also directly linked to the fall feasts (Yom Teruah – Yom Kippur – Sukkot)

Teshuvah (Repentance): Take a moment to ask yourself: “Where have I fallen asleep spiritually?” Is it in prayer, spending time in the Word, worshipping, fasting, in gratitude or in living without purpose? Naming areas in our lives or pointing to deal with trauma, can be where our hearts have grown dull. This will be the first step toward revival.

Berachah (Blessing): May the KING in the Field breathe new life into your spirit. May His presence awaken within you fresh passion, joy, and energy for the journey ahead. Let His stirring transform routine into a vibrant rhythm of purpose and Kingdom devotion.

Here the call, examine your heart, and let THE KING IN THE FIELD awaken your soul with renewed joy.

SCRIPTURE: “I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me. Come, my beloved, let us go forth to the field; let us stay in the villages. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see whether the vine has budded, the grape blossoms have opened, the pomegranates have bloomed. There I give you my carnal loves.” (Song of Songs 7:10-13)

Prayer: My Beloved King, thank You for this opportunity to walk with You in the field and talking to You about things that matters to You. Please help me to discover where have I been falling asleep spiritually and show me how You want me to be transformed and restored in order for me to RETURN back to Your original plan for my life. Awake me with Your presence and your fresh passion of joy and energy for the journey ahead. HALLELUYAH!

Teshuvah [תשובה] brings Berachah [ברכה], the blessing of our King.

Shalom,
