MONTH 5: THE 5 END TIME DIVINE COMMISSIONS (part 2)
Shalom Beloved
We are not approaching the end times; we are in it! We are not reading of the end time prophecies; we are seeing it right in front of our eyes being fulfilled and we will soon experience it in real life as it unfolds. Prophecies which Biblical Scolards, generations and generations of believers just read about in their Bibles and even the disciples just wondered and talked among themselves about and wrote it in the Epistles.
One of the most important things as Endtime-Watchman, we must remember we cannot pray or warfare these coming events to an end. Father is on the throne, and He ordained everything to play out according to His Masterplan, His Blueprint and His perfect Will. So, then the question is, what must we do in this end time as Revelation Generation and Restored Remnant and Covenant Keepers in this final minutes?
A DIVINE COMMISSION

Father recently pointed to a Scripture, showing me what is on His heart to answer this question. It is a Word for the Body of Yahushua and reveals very important keys that we need to have in our hands to be a Prepared People, awaiting the soon arrival of the King of Kings.
“I solemnly CHARGE you before YAHUAH and the Master YAHUSHUA Messiah, He is being about to judge the living and the dead at His appearance and His Kingdom: ” (2 Tim 4:1)
Paul begins this chapter with an urgent request to all believers in the presence of YAHUAH and YAHUSHUA. The words “Solemnly charge” implies a deep sense of duty, responsibility, and accountability. It’s not just a casual instruction: It’s a Divine Commission because the appearance of the coming King is at hand and all living and dead will be judged. Nobody can escape this judgement, but we as Restored Remnant, keeping Covenant; we have a responsibility in these final days, and we will be held accountable accordingly.
THE FIVE END TIME DIVINE COMMISSIONS
With this urgent request from Paul, in the presence of YAHUAH and YAHUSHUA, he reveals the FIVE Divine Commissions as our duty and responsibility as the End Time Generation in verse two: “(1) PREACH the Word! (2) STAND BY IT in season and out of season. (3) CONVICT, (4) WARN, (5) ENCOURAGE with all patience and teaching.“
In PART 1 we looked at the first two of these DIVINE COMMISSIONS and if you missed that one, here is the link to catch up: https://mattaniahministries.co.za/2025/08/08/month-5-the-5-end-time-divine-commissions-part-1/
Today we are going to look at:
END TIME DIVINE COMMISSION NR.3: CONVICT
🧠 Greek Insight:
If we go to the Strongs Greek Dictionary G1651 we will find that “convict” is the Greek word: “elegcho”. The Greek word often translated as “reprove” or “convict” is ἐλέγχω (elenchō), which means:
To correct with the goal of restoration / To expose or bring to light / To convince someone of fault.
In the “Restoration Study Bible” the translation for “convict” (HRB) reads as “reprove rebuke”. The word “convict” isn’t used directly in most English translations, but the idea is captured in the word “reprove”—which can also be translated as “convince” or “correct.”

🔍 What Does “Convict” Mean in This Context?
Paul is urging Timothy to preach the truth boldly, and part of that includes helping people:
- Recognize their errors or sin
- Feel the weight of truth
- Be persuaded to change
So, to “convict” in this spiritual sense means to bring someone to a realization of their wrongdoing through the Word of YAHUAH—not by shaming, but by truthful, loving correction.
💬 Why It Matters:
Paul knew that people would drift toward teachings that feel good but aren’t true. So he tells Timothy to stand firm, preach truth, and lovingly convict hearts—not to condemn, but to guide them back to YAHUAH, and so do we also have to operate in this final minutes.
🌱 How to applying “Convict” Today

1. Truth-Telling with Compassion
Modern leaders—whether pastors, mentors, or even friends—are called to speak truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. But Paul emphasizes doing it with patience and teaching, not harsh judgment.
✅ Conviction is not condemnation
✅ It’s about helping someone see clearly, not feel crushed
Example: A youth leader gently helps a teen see how gossip is hurting others, not by shaming them, but by showing the impact and offering a better path.
2. Standing Firm in a Shifting Culture
Paul warns that people will chase teachings that “tickle their ears.” Today, that’s more relevant than ever—truth often gets blurred by popularity, trends, or personal comfort.
- 🔥 Conviction means holding to truth even when it’s unpopular
- 🛡️ It’s about moral courage, not just being “nice”
Example: A Christian business owner refuses to cut corners, even when competitors do—convicting others by example.
3. Restoration, Not Just Correction
The goal of conviction is always redemption. It’s not just pointing out what’s wrong—it’s guiding someone toward what’s right.
- ❤️ Conviction leads to healing and growth
- 🕊️ It’s a tool of grace, not guilt
Example: A friend lovingly confronts another about destructive habits, offering support and accountability—not just criticism.

💡 Leadership Takeaway:
Whether you’re leading a church, a team, or just walking with friends, Paul’s message reminds us:
“Conviction is a gift when it’s wrapped in truth, love, and patience.”
YAHUSHUA modeled conviction in His ministry in a way that was both truthful and deeply compassionate. Let’s explore how He did this and how it applies to modern leadership:
✨ How YAHUSHUA Modeled Conviction
1. He Spoke Truth Without Compromise
YAHUSHUA never watered down truth to please crowds. He called out hypocrisy, injustice, and sin—especially among religious leaders.
- Example: In Matthew 23, He boldly rebukes the Pharisees for their outward religiosity but inward corruption.
- Lesson: Leaders today must be willing to speak truth, even when it’s unpopular, but always with the goal of restoration.
2. He Led with Compassion
Even when convicting someone, YAHUSHUA did it with love and grace.
Lesson: Conviction should never humiliate—it should liberate. Leaders must balance truth with empathy.
Example: The woman caught in adultery (John 8) He says, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”

3. He Used Miracles to Reveal Deeper Truths
YAHUSHUA’s miracles weren’t just displays of power—they were audiovisuals of spiritual realities.
- Example: Healing the paralytic (Mark 2)—He first forgives the man’s sins, showing that spiritual healing is the deeper need.
- Lesson: Leaders can use practical acts of kindness or service to open hearts to deeper truths.
4. He Relied on the Holy Spirit
Yahushua promised the Holy Spirit would continue His convicting work after He ascended (John 16:8).
- Lesson: Conviction isn’t just a human effort—it’s a spiritual process. Leaders should pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance when correcting or counseling others.
💡 Modern Leadership Takeaway
Whether you’re mentoring someone, leading a team, or guiding a community, here’s the model YAHUSHUA gives:
YAHUSHUA’s Approach | Modern Application |
---|---|
Truth with love | Speak honestly, but with empathy |
Restoration over shame | Correct to heal, not to condemn |
Spirit-led conviction | Pray and rely on divine wisdom |
Action with meaning | Let your deeds reflect deeper values |
🙏 1. Prayer for Wisdom and Discernment
YAHUAH, I lift up every leader to You today. Grant them wisdom to make decisions that honor You and serve others well. Help them discern truth from deception, and lead with clarity and conviction. May their choices reflect Your will and bring peace and justice. James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Yahuah…” HalleluYAH!
💪 2. Prayer for Strength and Courage
Heavenly Father, Leadership is not easy. When the path is unclear or opposition rises, give our leaders courage to stand firm. Strengthen them to act boldly, speak truthfully, and lead with integrity. Let them not grow weary, but trust in Your power. Isaiah 41:10 – “Do not fear, for I am with you…” HalleluYAH!
❤️ 3. Prayer for Servant Leadership
Yahuah, Raise up leaders who serve with humility, not for personal gain but for the good of others. Let them reflect Your heart—compassionate, just, and selfless. Remove pride and replace it with grace. Philippians 2:3 – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition…” HalleluYAH!
🕊️ 4. Prayer for Unity and Compassion
Gracious Father, in times of division, help our leaders to be peacemakers. Let their words and actions foster unity, empathy, and understanding. May they lead with love, listening to the needs of those they serve. Romans 12:18 – “If possible, live at peace with everyone.” HalleluYAH!
🌟 5. Prayer for Vision and Purpose
Sovereign Elohim, give our leaders divine vision—goals that align with Your kingdom and purpose. Let them dream boldly, plan wisely, and act faithfully. May their leadership inspire hope and transformation. Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit your work to YAHUAH…” HalleluYAH!
BARUCH HABA B’SHEM YAHUAH! (Blessed is He who comes in the Name of YAHUAH!)
