OMER COUNT DAY 40
“With numerous signs for FORTY DAYS He was being seen by them. And saying these things, as they looked on, He was TAKEN UP IN A CLOUD and He was hidden from their sight.”
(Acts 1:3b, 9)
Today marks the FORTIETH day of counting the Omer. The exact Biblical day when Yahshua ascended to heaven (Hemelvaart) after His crucifixion when we started the count.
Counting of the Omer is not a Jewish thing or a man-made Jewish tradition. It is a Biblical event, linking Yahshua’s crucifixion (Pesach/ Passover), combined with the first 3 Biblical Feasts of Yahweh, to Shavuot/ Pentecost (Pinkster); giving a countdown of 40 days before Yahshua ascended to heaven with 10 days afterwards, marking the 4th Biblical Feast: Shavuot or Pentecost.

Yahshua fulfilled all 4 Biblical Feasts so far. He died on the exact date of Pesach, He was in the grave during Feast of Unleavened Bread and He rose from the grave and exactly the day of Feast of First Fruits and on Pentecost He released the Fire of the Holy Spirit. Does this sound like a Jewish tradition? No, they are remarkable Biblical events planned with precise perfection by an Almighty Elohim.
WHY 40?
While I was pondering on the number 40 this week, speaking to Yahshua about the significance thereof, He showed me the Nr.40 Biblical events. And as He showed me, I realized there is a deeper revelation about the Nr.40 Biblical events that meets the eye.
The Nr.40 appears 112 times in the Amplified and I only wrote down 20 events linking with 40 that stood out for me.
Just to name a few, there were Noah in the Ark for 40 days and nights, the Israelites in the desert for 40 years, Moses was 40 days on Mount Sinai, the spies went in Canaan 40 days, Goliath took his stand for 40 days, King David & King Solomon reigned for 40 years, Nineveh had 40 days to repent, Yahshua was in the desert for 40 days before He started His ministry and He still appeared 40 days after His crucifixion before ascended to heaven.

As I stared at the pages, I wrote with all the 40 Biblical Events, I asked Yahshua again “why 40?” and He answered, “It’s a period of PREPARATION.”
Yahweh prepared Noah and His family and the earth for a new dispensation after the flood, He prepared the Israelites in the desert, He prepared the commandments for Moses, He prepared David to fight Goliath, He also prepared Yahshua in the desert and then Yahshua prepared His disciples and followers for His return to Heaven 40 days after His crucifixion.
The seven weeks between Passover and Shavuot provide for us an ideal time for introspection and spiritual progress. An opportunity to reflect upon our own souls and burnish our divine image, a time of inner transformation.
The One Redeemed by the Passover Lamb is maturing and counting the days until her betrothal to Messiah.
Counting the Omer is also a period of preparation for you and me. Yahweh is preparing the remnant, the Burning Ones, the Roaring Ones and the Bride of Yahshua in these last days to RESTORE His whole HOUSE. It’s a season where the RESTORED REMNANT will RISE in obedience and follow Yahweh is Spirit and in Truth.
Make the counting of the Omer count for you too and let’s stand each day with excitement in our hearts, knowing we are being prepared for the Kingdom of Yahweh! What a privilege!
Every day counts, if we count every day!
Make each day count.
“Father, teach us to number our days so that we might gain a heart of wisdom.”
AND THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE SAY COME!
Shalom,
