OMER COUNT DAY 30
On the Biblical calendar we are on Month 2, Day 14 today. This marks a magnificent event in Yahweh’s Word. Did you know there’s such a thing as a Second Passover?

It’s called Pesach Sheni, and it started yesterday evening at sunset, continuing until today at sunset. Pesach Sheni falls every year on the 14th of Second Biblical Month —exactly one month after the original Passover on the 14th of the First Month.
You might be wondering, “Wait, Mattaniah… didn’t we already celebrate Passover a month ago? We had the seder, ate the matzah, and powered through the horseradish! Why have another one?” Great question. Perhaps it’s Yahweh’s way of reminding us that in His kingdom, there is grace—and always a second chance.

YAHWEH OF SECOND CHANCES
Our Elohim is an Elohim of compassion—He doesn’t turn His back on anyone who, through no fault of their own, couldn’t celebrate the first Passover. In Numbers 9, we read that those who were ritually impure or traveling far from home could approach Moses and Aaron with this plea:

“…Why should we be deprived and miss the opportunity to present Yahweh’s offering at its appointed time among the Israelites?” (Numbers 9:6–7). Moved by their cry, Moses inquired Yahweh, and He, in His abundant mercy, granted them a Second Passover on the 14th day of the Second month, known as Pesach Sheni.
This “second chance” is a beautiful picture of Yahweh’s heart toward us: even if circumstances kept us from the first celebration, His door remains wide open. As we observe Pesach Sheni, let us embrace His mercy and rejoice in the fresh opportunity He gives us to draw near and partake in His deliverance.
Pesach Sheni stands as a powerful symbol of Yahweh’s mercy: no matter how far we’ve wandered or how many times we’ve missed the first call, He offers us a fresh start. This “Second Passover” reminds us that with Yahweh, it’s never too late—He delights in giving us a 2nd chance and filling us with renewed hope.
We must never think that because of something we’ve done that has made us impure or unclean, that we must always be on the outside looking in. We may have broken the rules, or missed an important opportunity, but this is never an excuse for despair.
Yahweh wants to give us a new beginning. Maybe life hasn’t worked out that way we had hoped; but He wants us to know, through Pesach Sheni, the Second Passover, that it’s not too late and we haven’t missed the opportunity to receive His blessings. Yahweh promises to make up for the years that the devouring locusts have eaten. (Joel 2:25)

Happy Pesach Sheni!
Shalom,
