5995 OMER COUNTING DAY 11
What is the Counting of the Omer and is it a commandment from Yahweh? It is a count of 50 Days from First Fruits, the Resurrection of Yahshua, to Shavuot (Pentecost) and yes, it is a commandment from Yahweh that is written in His Word in Leviticus 23:15-16 “And you shall number to you from the next day after Sabbath, from the day you bring in the Omer of the wave offering; they shall be seven completed Sabbaths; to the next day after the seventh Sabbath, you shall number FIFTY DAYS; and you shall bring near a new food offering to Yahweh.”
“Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu
Melech ha-olam
Asher hatz’dakeinu al y’dey emunah
bi’Yeshua haMashiach,
ve’tzivanu al sefirat ha-omer.”
Blessed are you, Yahweh our ELohim, Ruler of the universe, Who has justified us by faith in Yahshua the Messiah, and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.

Shalom Burning Omen Counters
Today we discover the PROPHETIC meaning behind the Counting of the Omer and understand why Yahweh instructed us to engage in this practice every year as covenant believers and set apart Ancient Path Walkers.
How does the Counting of the Omer relate to the 40 days Yahshua spent in the desert before commencing His ministry, the 40 years of the Israelites’ journey through the desert, and the descent of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost? In the below teaching, Pastor Jim Staley brings powerful insights into the Prophecy concerning this significant aspect of the Feast Days.
This is a powerful teaching with much insight about how the Counting of the Omer is a Prophetic map through the Old Testament, revealed in the New Testament, and fulfilled by Yahshua and it will also lead us into the Millennium. Perfectly planned in Yahweh’s Masterplan and Blueprint from the start. Don’t miss this, it is absolutely mind blowing!
HOW DO WE COUNT THE OMER?
Most Messianic and Hebrew Roots believers in Yahshua begin the count on the first day of the week, the day after the weekly Sabbath during the Feast of Unleavened Bread and this is the Biblical way and also the counting I am doing at Mattaniah Ministries.
The counting of this year’s Omer started on the 15th day of the First Biblical month, on Gregorian Calendar date, Sunday April 13th. Shavuot will be 50 days later on the Biblical Calendar on the 5th day of the 3rd Month, on Gregorian Calendar date, Sunday June the 1st.
MUST WE STILL COUNT THE OMER?

Yes, it is a commandment from our Yahweh. He never changed. Counting up to Shavuot reminds us of this process of moving from being a slave to freedom. What is your “Egypt” in your life keeping you bondage and in slavery? Make a list of the things you want to break free from and fast even through these 50 days if you feel lead by the Holy Spirit to do so.
As we count the Omer to Pentecost, ask Yahweh to help you find freedom from your bondages too and also ask Him to fill you with a fresh anointing this year during Pentecost. As we go through these 50 days, together with Yahshua, He want to break the chains of slavery for us in our lives, and He want to elevate us to a new level of intimacy with Him. Let every day of counting the Omer, count for you.
STARTING THE OMER COUNTING IN JERUSALEM

I had the privilege to be on Mount Zion, Jerusalem, the day when the Omer counting started. It was my first time on the anointed Mount Zion and as we were standing on top we saw 2 people dressed in white, waving the Omer that they picked on Mount Zion, to start the Omer Counting. Wow it was such a blessing to witness this and it just took my breath away; standing on Mount Zion starting the Omer Counting while Carin and her husband were waving the Omer and blowing their shofars.

Let the counting of the Omer count! Let’s walk the good path, the path of rest, the Ancient Path of Yahweh.
Baruch Haba B’shem Yahweh! Blessed is He who come in the Name of Yahweh! (Matt29:39)
Shalom, Mattaniah
