What is happening in Israel?

There is an overflow of news spreading all over social media about what is going on in Israel and we as Watchman need to decern what is the truth and what is false. I also know many people ask why it is important to know what is going on in Israel and my only answer is, Israel is our prophetic time clock and as Endtime Watchman we need to be aware of what is going on in Israel to compare it with Biblical prophecies.

Israel is fighting on several different fronts, but there’s one extra front too – a front that targets not just Israel, but all Jews worldwide. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, listed the battlegrounds as Iran, Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, Shia militants in Iraq, militant groups in Syria as well as Palestinian fighters in the West Bank.

“In defending ourselves against this barbarism, Israel is defending civilisation against those who seek to impose a dark age of fanaticism on all of us,” he said in a statement last week.

In this blog post I will only give the high light points of the October 7th attack by Hamas.

HAMAS ATTACK OCTOBER 7, 2023

The Israel-Hamas War, between Israel and Palestinian militants, (especially Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)), began on October 7, 2023. Hamas launched a land, sea, and air assault on Israel from the Gaza Strip. The October 7 attack resulted in more than 1,200 deaths, primarily Israeli citizens, making it the deadliest day for Israel since its independence. More than 240 people were also taken hostage during the attack.

The next day, Israel declared itself in a state of war for the first time since exactly on the same date 50 years earlier in the Yom Kippur War on October 6, 1973. The war began with the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) conducting air strikes on the Gaza Strip, followed weeks later by the incursion of ground troops and armoured vehicles.

By January 2025 when a ceasefire agreement was reached, more than 46,000 Gazans, about 2 percent of the territory’s population, had been killed according to official numbers and two-thirds of the buildings in the Gaza Strip had been damaged or destroyed. About 1,600 Israelis had been killed, including those killed in the October 7 attack.

INTERESTING BIBLE VERSE AND HEBREW WORD FACT

“And the earth was corrupt before Elohim, and the earth was filled with VIOLENCE.” (Gen 6:11)

Interesting enough in the Bible we read about VIOLENCE and in Genesis 6:11 the word “violence” is the Hebrew Strongs Nr. 2555 and is the word “chamac” pronounced as “Hamas” (חָמָֽס). Meaning by implication, to maltreat – make bare, shake off, violate, do violence, take away violently, wrong, imagine wrongfully. It is the Hebrew Bible’s primary term for violence.

ISRAEL / HAMAS CEASEFIRE

The ceasefire was announced on January 15, 2025, and began four days later, after months of negotiations led by the US, Qatar and Egypt. The deal aims to bring a permanent end to the fighting and free hostages held by Hamas in Gaza in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

WHO ARE THE HOSTAGES THAT WILL BE RELEASED

These 3 hostages were released first on January 25, 2025

The next 3 hostages were released on Thursday, January 30 2025.

According to the list received from Hamas, these are the 33 hostages that will be released within the ceasefire period.

59 HOSTAGES WILL REMAIN IN GAZA AFTER THE COMPLETE OF PHASE 1

With President Donald Trump’s tump on the Mid East Nations these wars will also go away in time. He is already busy with the Cyrus Accords Peace Agreement, (read about it in this blog post: https://mattaniahministries.co.za/2025/01/22/israel-the-biblical-prophetic-timeclock/) and it will be on the tables in the next few months. He also has a tight grip around the throat of Iran and Iraq so I’m excited about the outcome of what is ahead.

Let’s keep on praying for Israel and her people and not stop interceding for them. Pray for the hostages and their families, that their reunions will be filled with blessing and that they find healing.

Pray that the released prisoners will turn away from terrorism and that their time in prison will lead to transformation.

Pray for wisdom and discernment for Israel’s leadership, that Father Yahweh will guide them in every decision. Being a leader in Israel is one of the hardest jobs in the world, so please cover them in prayer.

Pray for the future of Gaza. The only hope I see for the hearts and minds of Islamic jihadists is for them to encounter Yahshua, the Prince of Peace. Join me in praying that they will be liberated from the evil ideology they have been raised in since they were babies.

CONCLUTION OF THE 7000 SEBATICAL BIBLICAL CALENDAR

Let’s face the facts, wars were never a “win-win” situation. It’s a time of horror, pain, tears, loss of loved ones, homes that been demolished, lives that been ended, hatred that strive and demon possessed, blood thirst people raging up that feels nothing for nobody who rapes and kill babies, young people and the old age without blinking an eye.

When did we first read about this in the Bible? We go back to Genises 6 because after Adam was made it only took 6 chapters for Yahweh to look upon the earth and saw that it was corrupt and filled with VIOLENCE.

“And the earth was corrupt before Elohim, and the earth was filled with VIOLENCE And Elohim looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for ALL FLESH had corrupted his way upon the earth. And Elohim said unto Noah, The End of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth” (Gen 6:11-13)

As the end draws near and the birth pangs get worse, the earth will be filled with more violence by the day because that is how the enemy works. Yahweh will not tolerate this corrupted way upon the earth for much longer because He also made a promise in Genesis 6:

“And Yahweh said, My Spirit shall not always strive with mankind; in their going astray he is flesh. And his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.” Gen 6:3

The Hebrew word for years can also mean “times” and may be referring to 120 jubilees or 120 x 50 = 6000 years allotted to man until YHWH would bring His wrath the world again. “But let not this one thing be hidden from you, beloved, that one day with YAHWEH is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” (2 Pet 3:8)

Just as Yahweh created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th, He has given mankind 6000 years to make his own government, education, religion and society and at the end of the 6000 years Yahshua will return to earth to set up the Kingdom of Yahweh for the 1000-year millennial rule completing YHWH’s 7000-year plan. Then the new heaven and earth will be established and His Kingdom forever (Rev 21:1-4).

THE NEXT BIBLICAL YEAR 5995

The next Biblical Year starts with the New Biblical First Month on the Gregorian Calendar end of March 2025, then we will be in Biblical year 5995.
