CIRCLES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

On Wednesday we talked about the circular patterns of Yahweh’s blueprint and a very good friend of mine @⁨Jeanet Sterk⁩ shared a video regarding this topic. Thank you for sharing it Jeanet.

I “fact checked” it and it’s indeed the truth.

In Psalm 23:3 we read: “He restores my soul; He guides me in PATHS of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

The word PATHS in this verse points

to Nr.4570 in the Strongs Hebrew Dictionary which is the Hebrew word “ma’gal” meaning “as circular”.

It is a common trait for sheep on the hillsides of Israel to circle their way higher up a mountain. They eventually form a path that keeps leading them higher. This is what David is referring to here. Each step we take following our Shepherd will lead us higher, even though it may seem we are going in circles.

Circular paths of righteousness.

I love it! Because we’ve all walked in circles before. It feels immensely frustrating, doesn’t it? But – what if we walk in circles not out of aimlessness or lack of direction, but out of devotion? What if we follow in circles behind our Shepherd?

Circular paths of righteousness. Behind our Shepherd. Circles of following. Circles of righteousness. When we follow in a circle we don’t need to know the destination.
When we follow in a circle, we don’t even need to feel like we’re making progress. We simply follow. And listen for His voice.

Perhaps the question is not whether we are making progress in life?
Perhaps the question is more who are we following and do we follow well in life.

Following in circles.
