“SHAMAR” to Watch or PRESERVE

SUKKOT DAY NR.4

During these 8 days of Sukkot there are a joyful feeling in the Spirit. I had the privilege to visit friends during last Saturday’s Shabbat with Sukkot and they made the most beautiful Sukkah on their porch. It ushered in the feeling of a wedding, and I could feel the glory of Yahweh tabernacling with us.

“A Secret Treasure of David. Watch over me, O El, for I take refuge in You.” (HRB – Psalm 16:1)

SHAMAR OVER ME

We read in the above verse of Psalm 16, in the Hebraic Root Bible, the words “Watch over me” but in other translations you find the word “PRESERVE ME”. In the Hebrew Strongs Dictionary the Hebrew word for “Preserve” is SHAMAR which means “to keep“, “to watch” or to “GUARD“.

If Yahweh tabernacle in you, then He SHAMAR you – He preserve you, watch over you, keep you save or guard over you. That is the secret treasure David wrote about in Psalm 16:1 – to be Shamar by the Most High. If He SHAMAR you, who will be against you? If Yahweh tabernacle in you and guard you, keep you safe and close to Him, why will you fear anything?

SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH

“He who dwells in the SECRET PLACE of the Most High shall abide in the shade of the Almighty. I will say to Yahweh: MY REFUGE and my FORTRESS, my Elohim, I will TRUST IN HIM”. (Ps 91:1-2)

When you tabernacle where Yahweh is, then you dwell in the secret place of the Most High where He will be your refuge and your fortress, and you will trust in Him. Very interesting the two secrets David tried to show us here in the Psalms, and Yahweh wants to reveal to us. He is our PRESERVER and will always SHAMAR us if we let Him tabernacle in us and we tabernacle with Him in His secret place.

One day very soon, Yahshua will tabernacle among us again, just like He did when He became flesh the first time. As Maria gave birth to Him on the first day of Sukkot, He became our Salvation in flesh that tabernacled among us and in this period of festivity of Sukkot, we have to remind each other every day, SOON YAHSHUA WILL COME AND TABERNACLE AMONG US AGAIN. While we are waiting for this joyful moment, let’s tabernacle in the secret place of the Most High and know that He will SHAMAR us till we see Him on the clouds and be with Him forever.
