DAY 2: PURGING LUKEWARMNESS

Purging the Leaven: 40 Days of Heart Preparation for Pesach

Shalom beloved,

Lukewarmness is dangerous because it feels safe.

It is not rebellion, it is not outright denial and it is spiritual comfort. It is devotion without fire, worship without surrender and obedience without passion.

In Revelation 3:15–16 it is written: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot… because you are lukewarm… I will spit you out of My mouth.”

These are strong words — not spoken to unbelievers, but to a believing assembly. Lukewarmness is not distance from Yahuah; it is indifference toward Him.

It is when prayer becomes routine, when conviction no longer troubles us and when the fire that once burned is now reduced to embers.

Lukewarmness is hidden leaven. It inflates the illusion of spirituality while the fire slowly fades.

Pesach reminds us that deliverance came through the blood — but covenant must remain alive through continual devotion. Yahuah does not desire partial hearts. He desires first love.

As written in Deuteronomy 6:5: “You shall love יהוה your Eloah with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.” Not some. All.

Today we allow the Ruach to confront spiritual apathy.

Prayer

Abba YAHUAH,

If there is lukewarmness in me, expose it. If my fire has dimmed, please rekindle it. Forgive me for routine without reverence, service without surrender, worship without intimacy.

Remove complacency from my spirit. Stir hunger within me again. Ignite holy passion that refuses averageness.

I do not want to stand before You lukewarm. I want to stand before You consumed. Purge the leaven of lukewarmness from my heart and please restore my first love. In the Name of Yahushua HaMashiach, halleluYAH!
